The Flash is the latest DC Universe Classics All Star figure to get a Toys R Us Exclusive makeover and he’s hitting TRUs now!
I love this metallic redeco on Mr. Allen. The candy apple red and gold are much more appealing to me than the flat, plastic red and bright yellow of the DCUC 7 Flash. The paint apps are nice and sharp, though I did have to pick through the selection on the pegs as there were quite a few with some sloppy paint jobs and badly bent wings.
Like the TRU Batman and Green Lantern, this version of Flash’s sculpted details seem to be a bit sharper too – could it be the factory is using new generation molds for their parts?
I think that if you’re a big fan of the Flash, this is one figure you don’t want to miss out on.

I was thinking of skipping this guy, but damn he looks great in those pics! I think the difference in sculpt detail is probably due to that being the newer version of the medium build body from Wave 9 and on. I don’t know what exactly they did, but the wave 9 figures that use that body are different than the wave 8 and earlier. You can really see it in the shoulders. My theory is that they made a new steel tooling of that body for wave 9 for some reason. I know that in the past tooling would wear down and figures would lose detail over time, so maybe they did the new tooling to prevent that from happening here.
