BotCon 2011 – Hasbro Transformers Dark of the Moon

Transformers Dark of the Moon is only a few weeks away, so Hasbro had a lot of toys on display at Botcon this year. Most are already hitting stores, but there were some that we haven’t seen before.

Let’s start with the Leader class movie ‘bots!

LEADER

Ultimate Optimus Prime

This one’s the 2011 SDCC version:

Ironhide

Ironhide gets the Leader class treatment, so does Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime. I hope they do a Shockwave and Soundwave (with Ravage and Laserbeak) as well!

VOYAGER

Shockwave, Megatron and Optimus Prime

They didn’t really show anything new as far as movie Voyagers and Deluxes are concerned, most of these are already in stores.  I do like the Shockwave Voyager though!

Not shown here is the Laserbeak Deluxe I saw earlier this week at Target. I was surprised to see it as I didn’t see it on display at Botcon.

HUMAN ALLIANCE

Roadbuster is a new addition to the Human Alliance line. Dude’s all weaponized even in vehicle form!  Target has their own Human Alliance Leadfoot exclusive as well (see Retail Exclusives below).

Human Alliance Basic (Triple-changers)

Hasbro adds a new sub-line to the Human Alliance line. Smaller triple-changer ‘bots with human allies. One of which is Spike Witwicky, Sam already has a son perhaps?

CYBERVERSE

This smaller scaled line is kinda like the Transformers version of the 3.75″ Marvel Universe figures. I guess you could say they’re also the equivalent of the Transormers Legends line. They come in two sizes: the Commanders and the smaller Legion. They also have the Action sets, which include transforming playsets.

Commander

This ‘bot really caught my eye, the Commander Decepticon Hatchet, I like his robot mode!

Legion

Action Sets

Another item that intrigued me is the Autobot Ark playset, I like the look of it!

RETAILER EXCLUSIVES

Like the previous movies, Hasbro has some retail exclusives for Target, Walmart, Toys ‘R’ Us, and Kmart. A lot of it are repaints of existing figures or in some cases they’ve added a different Transformer pack-in.

The ‘bot mode of this Leadfoot wasn’t present when I was taking pics, of all the exclusives I like this one the most!

There were also some more kid-geared Dark of the Moon stuff shown at the con, like the Activators and role-play stuff.IMG_5796.JPGIMG_5797.JPGIMG_5798.JPG

I’m sure Hasbro has a lot more to show at San Diego this July! Thanks for looking!
