Hot Toys Reveals Iron Man 3 Starboost Mark XXXIX

Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Starboost Mark XXXIX 01

I love me some Hot Toys, but that House Party Protocol finale in Iron Man 3 is a double-edged sword. It’s very cool to have so many armors to make, but unless you’ve got Tony Stark’s bank, you won’t be able to Pokemon them all. I’ll be doing an Iron Man movie marathon pretty soon (the rules – no bathroom breaks – not as challenging as the Lord of the Rings marathon) so I’ll be checking out the scene for all the armors that I missed. Starboost is one of them.

You can pre-order the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Starboost figure at Sideshow Collectibles. It’s got LED lights for the eyes, ARC reactor, and back thruster pack, plus the usual set of interchangeable hands. Yours for $269, arriving November this year. Not that I’ll ever tire of seeing new Iron Man armors, but hopefully by then we’ll see some figures from the next Marvel franchise – Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Starboost Mark XXXIX suit has stood out from the crowd since its introduction in Iron Man 3. Its cool space suit design with mixture of white, gold, and black colors has helped turned it become a fan favorite among all the armors from the “House Party Protocol”.

We are very excited to present one of the fan’s anticipated brand new armors from Tony Stark’s Iron Legion – 1/6th scale Starboost Mark XXXIX Collectible Figure, the Sub-Orbital Suit. It features white, gold, and black colored armor with embossed pattern, two gold-colored face masks, LED light-up functions and figure stand with flexible pillar for dynamic posing.

  1. These are way out of my range, but I would have happily bought every single armor from the movie if Hasbro had made them in 6-inch and/or articulated 4-inch figures. Can’t believe that Hasbro didn’t jump at the chance to sell collectors a dozen Iron Man variants.

  2. definitely feels like a missed opportunity. I think the Assemblers were their attempt to get a stocked armory out there, but those just weren’t very appealing after years of Marvel Universe figures upping the ante.
