Hasbro Reveals Two More Marvel Legends Waves for 2017 – Marvel Knights and Thor

Hasbro is building excitement in the weeks ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, by hosting a special online event today for fan websites. In an exclusive video chat, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team revealed the final two carded figures and the Build-A-Figure for the Marvel Knights / Netflix wave. They also teased three figures from a new Legends wave tied to Thor: Ragnarok.

Missing Good Guy Optimus Prime? Hasbro Has You Covered!

The last I saw of Optimus Prime, back in 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, he was flying off into space, apparently leaving Earth behind. So while I was not at all surprised to see him back on Earth in the trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight, it was a bit of a shocker to see him as the supposed villain… although maybe not as much as seeing Mark Wahlberg fighting Transformers with a sword.

If bad guy Optimus Prime has you reminiscing back to when we were still somewhat hopeful about Michael Bay’s handling of our beloved childhood memories, then help is here; Hasbro recently announced that the Optimus Prime we know and love, from the first Transformers live action movie, will be joining the Transformers Masterpiece Movie Series this summer. Another shocker? That movie came out ten years ago.

Hasbro Reveals Marvel Legends for Vulture and GotG Vol. 2

Hasbro has shared its official press images for the Marvel Legends reveals from earlier this morning. Following the release of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer last night, CBR had the honors of revealing the first look at the Michael Keaton Vulture Marvel Legends figure.

And while Hasbro shared the first reveals from the next wave of Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy at San Diego Comic-Con, the Nerdist got to reveal that new figures for Star-Lord, Drax, and Yondu would round out the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy wave.

Hasbro Shares Details for Star Wars Retailer Exclusives

We’re a week away from Force Friday, and Hasbro has more retailer exclusives incoming. As you might expect, most are tied-in with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but a certain astromech droid is looking to remote control his way to your heart.

With the Star Wars Smart R2-D2, Hasbro is looking to capture some of the magic that Sphero did with its app-enabled BB-8 (http://amzn.to/2cMWhmE). While you won’t be able to pick up R2-D2 at Walmart until next week, you can preview the companion app for Android and iOS now. Now I just need an appropriately-sized C-3PO head for Artoo to drag around.
