Hot Toys is running a poll on its blog asking you to pick which Avatar character you would like to see as a Movie Masterpiece. They’ve got four choices – Jake Sully (Avatar), Neytiri, Colonel Miles Quaritch, and Dr. Grace Augustine, plus the chance to write in a vote if your pick isn’t there.
As you might imagine, Jake Sully is running away with it. When they make him, I wonder if they’ll make him in scale – that’d be a 20-inch tall Movie Masterpiece! I can easily see them making Jake and Neytiri – do you think they’d ever get to an avatar version of Sigourney Weaver?

My wallet can’t keep up with my Hot Toys addiction, so I am passing on this – but with PERS, this figure adds a level of lifelike quality that surpasses the excellent Michael Jackson Thriller version that’s currently available.

Michael Jackson is forever in our heart. His iconic song “Bad” in 1987 is still well-received nowadays. Paying tribute to our King of Pop, Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Michael Jackson collectible figure again, this time depicting his image in his popular hit Bad’s music video in 1987, highlighting the authentic head sculpt, the multi-layered stereoscopic hair sculpture and the highly-detailed costume of his style. A complimentary value-added set of upper outfit portraying his image in the Dirty Diana music video in 1988 is also presented.

By Ron, on February 23rd, 2010 When Hot Toys teased another DX announcement a couple of days ago, I don’t think many people guessed at another MJ – my guess was for a figure from the upcoming Iron Man 2 movie. With the pics included here, I can see why DX and PERS, the Parallel Eyeball Rolling System that Hot Toys innovated, makes sense for Michael Jackson. The lifelike quality it has in these shots is uncanny.
No pre-order for this yet, but the Thriller version (with both friendly and zombie heads and costumes) is still available at Sideshow Toys.

This full set of Bad version costume is highly-detailed, showcasing not only the outfits, but also the accessories such as buckled belts and riveted gloves. By Ron, on February 22nd, 2010 I missed this pic of the final Hot Toys Battle Damaged Iron Man Mark III a couple of weeks ago when gearing up for Toy Fair. Since I missed my shot at the original Mark III armor, this will be the Hot Toys Iron Man that goes into my collection.
I’ll try to remain strong, but as soon as Hot Toys starts making armors from Iron Man 2, I’ll probably cave. Speaking of which, they are teasing a new DX announcement coming soon on their Facebook page. I’m wondering if it’ll be an Iron Man 2 figure.

By Ron, on February 20th, 2010 I wasn’t sure with the timing of Sideshow’s release of press pics of the Hot Toys Terminator 2 Sarah Connor from and Hot Toys saying they’d be showing pics of a “newly polished” head sculpt for her whether we’d be covering the same ground again. Well, I needn’t have thought too hard about it. Hot Toys released three new pictures with closeups of the revamped Sarah Connor head. Looks much better to me.
Sarah Connor is unveiled!
Amid the applause on the Saran Connor collectible after teaser announcement, she is going to be unveiled now in high anticipation!
Taking off her sunglasses, the highly detailed head sculpt is revealed. The greatest partners Yulli and JC have specially polished it so as to showcase a more real-like version to fans now! Frowned, tight-lipped, together with the expression seen from her eyes, she is in the mood to spend her life to protect her son!
What’s worth mentioning is the newly developed rubber arm which is specially sculpted with distinct lines and enhanced muscularity, reinforcing her fierceness and heroine image.
What’s more, the detailed hair sculpture with fringes and middle part of hair attached with ponytail. Two fringes are available at your choice for matching with the cap. Full military gear is also equipped with weapons and accessories.

This should be a fine companion piece to the T-800 Ahhhnold that they recently announced. I’m curious how the arm articulation will work on a character with smaller limbs.
