Sideshow Collectibles has a couple of the upcoming Hot Toys figures available for pre-order – Chris Taylor, Charlie Sheen’s character in Platoon, and Bruce Lee from Enter the Dragon. I might spring for the Sideshow exclusive version of Bruce Lee, since it comes with an extra body and stand for just $20 more. It’s a DX, so with the extra body, you can have two complete figures since there’s the extra head, many sets of hands, and multiple outfits included already.

If you’ve been on the fence about picking up a Two-Face from the Hot Toys Dark Knight line, you may not want to wait any longer. Amazon has the Hot Toys Two-Face on sale for $49.99 via specialty retailer Hastings.
>> DC Comics Hot Toys’ The Dark Knight: 1:6 Scale Two – Face/ Harvey Dent Figure
I think Harvey originally retailed at around $175, so this is a great deal. I’d been thinking about putting together a Bruce Wayne, and a Hot Toys body plus a suit would set me back more than the sale price of this figure.

I guess this means that Lt. Aldo Raine sold well enough for Hot Toys to warrant another figure from Inglourious Basterds. I wish the head sculpt captured a little more of Christoph Waltz’s almost mischievous characterization of the sinister Col. Hans Landa.

I suppose Platoon will fit in nicely for collectors of military figures, for which 1/6 is one of the prevalent scales. Next year will be the 25th anniversary for the movie, and it’s a classic. I wonder if we’ll be getting Barnes and Elias too.

We’ve seen the Berserker and Royce, and now here’s the Falconer. Hot Toys has heard the initial outcry from fans, and have also announced that they will include the Falconer’s falcon as an accessory.

I first saw Royce when Hot Toys posted some pics from Tokyo Toy Fair. He comes with an impressive array of clothing and accessories, but I think the expression is a bit too Pianist and not enough Predators.

I must have this. I hadn’t started sliding head first down the slippery slope of 1/6 scale figures when Enterbay made their Fist of Fury Bruce Lee, and I think the Hot Toys Enter the Dragon Bruce Lee may be the superior figure in terms of likeness and value. Two heads, each with the Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS)? Two costumes? Two dioramas? Fourteen (!) hands?
It’s crazy. And it will be mine.

All of these should be great, but the Expendables seems like it’s right in Hot Toys’ wheelhouse. I also wonder if we’ll see some innovation with the TRON license, since electronics seems a natural fit.
I hope both these movies kick some ass!
