Toy Fair 2018: LEGO Reveals Millenium Falcon from Solo: A Star Wars Story

Earlier, we shared LEGO’s reveals for Jurassic World: Lost Kingdom. But that was not the only movie for which they’re making sets. LEGO also revealed their first set for Solo: A Star Wars Story, and it’s a big one.

The Kessel Run Millennium Falcon set contains over 1,400 pieces, including seven mini-figures. It arrives on shelves in April, while the Solo movie opens a month later on May 25th.

I bet you can’t make the Kessel Run Falcon in under 12 parsecs!

Toy Fair 2018: Hasbro Shares Pre-Show Reveals for Marvel and Star Wars

Toy Fair has not officially started, but Hasbro has shared some product reveals in a pre-show tease from their Marvel and Star Wars product lines. As you might expect, both brands remain aligned with the major movie releases for the year.

On the Marvel front, Hasbro is continuing the Marvel Legends premium role play line with an electronic Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers: Infinity War. They’re also continuing the revamped Mighty Muggs line with new figures for Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Hasbro previously teased upcoming Marvel Legends waves for Deadpool 2 and Venom.

Hasbro’s Star Wars reveals lean heavily into Solo: A Star Wars Story with new Black Series and Force Link figures, among others. But they also have a sprinkling of figures from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Read on for lots of pics and product descriptions. And stay tuned for more reveals – the Hasbro media event for Toy Fair is on Saturday afternoon.

Hasbro Shares Star Wars Black Series Details for Force Friday

It’s Force Friday! At midnight tonight, stores have the green light to finally put Star Wars products out on the shelf. There’s a ton of it, and Hasbro has shared the official pics and descriptions. We’re going to focus it on the Star Wars Black Series 6-inch offerings.

We’ve seen some product line extensions in 6-inch. In addition to single-carded figures, we’re seeing more vehicles and a completely new line that includes 6-inch scaled statues plus environments, which you can plus up by adding your own Black Series figures to the scene.

Finally, if you’re sensitive to spoilers (even minor ones), you might want to skip this article. I try to stay away from entertainment news, but the product line-ups may reveal characters and story details that might tell you too much for your taste.

May the Force be with you!

Hasbro Shares Details for Star Wars Retailer Exclusives

hasbro-star-wars-retailer-exclusives

We’re a week away from Force Friday, and Hasbro has more retailer exclusives incoming. As you might expect, most are tied-in with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but a certain astromech droid is looking to remote control his way to your heart.

With the Star Wars Smart R2-D2, Hasbro is looking to capture some of the magic that Sphero did with its app-enabled BB-8 (http://amzn.to/2cMWhmE). While you won’t be able to pick up R2-D2 at Walmart until next week, you can preview the companion app for Android and iOS now. Now I just need an appropriately-sized C-3PO head for Artoo to drag around.
