Age of Apocalypse Sunfire

Age of Apocalypse Sunfire

I would have eventually taken pictures of this bad boy, who is still available on HasbroToyShop.com for $10.99, but this thread on TheFwoosh.com prompted me to do it today.  Apparently he is also available on sale at clearance retailer Tuesday Morning – if you don’t have any of those nearby, Sunfire is one of Hasbro’s better efforts, and is worth it at full price.

Wolverine & The Ultimates Take Over Marvel Minimates

When Marvel Minimates first appeared on the scene in July of 2003 no one expected them to last for 28 superheroic waves. With these latest assortments the Marvel Minimates line shows no signs of slowing down!  Get ready for the first-ever Minimates based on The Ultimates in Series 27 and an all-star Series 28 featuring X-Men mainstays – including the much-anticipated Deadpool!

Comic book legends Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch launched The Ultimates in 2002 as a way to explore the Avengers without requiring readers to understand decades of built-up continuity.  The Ultimates quickly became one of the most anticipated books in the industry; winning awards and setting records.  Series 27 of the Marvel Minimates line will feature both key players and fan-favorites:  Ultimate Iron Man & Hulk, Ultimate Thor & Nick Fury, Ultimate Captain America and SHIELD Agent plus the variant Ultimate World War II Captain America.  With key accessories like Thor’s enchanted hammer, Cap’s shield and removable Iron Man armor, nothing will be able to stop your Ultimate Minimate army!

Not to be outdone, the 28th wave of Marvel Minimates also delivers an all-star lineup featuring Wolverine and key characters from X-Men history.  Fresh from their big-screen appearances in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, this series features core characters like Deadpool and Gambit in the comic-book costumes fans have come to know and love.  Series 27 includes Wolverine & Deadpool, Gambit & Psylocke, Sabretooth and a Skrull Soldier and the limited variant First Appearance Sabretooth!

Look for both of these all-star waves in the April issue of Diamond Previews and look for these in comic book stores nationwide this August!
