New York Comic Con 2010 – Square Enix Halo Reach and Metal Gear Solid

I probably would never have stopped by Square Enix if not for pushers like Sandman and Industrial. I don’t play a lot of video games these days – I’ve never played a Metal Gear Solid game, and I stopped after the second game in the Halo franchise. But after seeing Sandman’s pics of the Square Enix booth from San Diego Comic-Con and Indy’s Best Toy Ever review of the Sneaking Suit, I knew I’d hate myself if I skipped their booth at NYCC.

Halo: Reach

Like I said, I haven’t played a Halo game in years – maybe even a decade – but these figures from the Play Arts Kai line are making a serious play for the contents of my wallet. They’re due out in March next year.

Metal Gear Solid

Who is this Solid Snake guy, and why do I want to spend money on him? I’ve got nothing in this scale, and have never played a video game with him in it – aside from an intense Super Smash Bros. session with my nephew and niece. But he’s just too cool to deny.

We should have some more Square Enix Play Arts Kai coverage soon. My buddy picked up a Bleach Ichigo and a Bayonetta and has a ton of pics to share. Stay tuned!
