Bandai Announces S.H. Figuarts Uzumaki Naruto

When Toynami announced they were retiring their Naruto line last October, I know that Sandman was bummed. Well, he’ll be excited to hear that Bandai is making an Uzumaki Naruto figure in its S.H. Figuarts line… but he might not be too happy for his wallet – the SRP converted from Yen is about $42. The figure is due out in July this year.

S.H. Figuarts Super Mario Looks Nothing Like Bob Hoskins

I know someone, somewhere, feels like he’s been jumped on by a 300 pound plumber because Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts Super Mario is from the video game, not the movie. Not me! I had really been looking forward to seeing this figure (and its accessory packs) at Toy Fair, before our trip was cancelled due to the weather.

Now Bandai has released more pics of Super Mario on the S.H.Figuarts Facebook page, and now I’m looking forward to owning the Mario that will out-jump all other Mario figures. You can pre-order the S.H. Figuarts Super Mario for $24.99, and the two accessory packs (Diorama Set A and Diorama Set B) for $19.99 each, at Entertainment Earth. These are all expected to arrive this July.

Bandai Announces S.H. MonsterArts Alien Big Chap

When I saw the S.H. MonsterArts Aliens vs. Predators figures at NYCC, I was hoping Bandai had more of those movie franchises licensed. And they do! They’ve revealed the one that started it all, the Big Chap from Alien. Super-articulated (the tail has 18 individual segments) and using some die-cast, this should be some real hand candy for Aliens fans.

Due out this summer in June, the MSRP is $53.99. In space, no one can hear you scream.

It’sa Me, Mario! Get Your Gold Coins Ready for Super Mario from S.H. Figuarts

S.H.Figuarts Super Mario teaser

Bandai posted this Super Mario teaser on its S.H. Figuarts Facebook page. Perhaps their claim of the world’s first action figure of Super Mario is a bit dubious – the license has been out there and tons of product have been sold – but it’s certainly the first super-articulated figure of Mario. That means all the jumping, wall-bounding, brick-smashing, mushroom-eating, and Goomba-crushing action is coming your way.

But be ready to shell out some gold coins for this version of Mario. Other Figuarts figures sell for $30 and up, with a pretty tight after-market driving prices higher. Best bet is to hop on a pre-order when they go up. We’ll be looking.
