PAX East 2011 – Cosplay Pics

Ayeffkay sent over these pics he took at PAX East. He asked me to filter them, but it’s late and I’m tired. You guys can figure it out anyways. 😀

His last review for AFP was for the Square Enix Bayonetta. He’s bitter I still haven’t finished the game yet.

When Ron posted his WonderCon Booth Babes and Cosplay pics, I remembered that I hadn’t given him the pics from Pax East last month yet. Oops. For the uninitiated, Pax is the gaming convention run by Penny Arcade. It’s less of a dedicated industry show and more of an excuse for a bunch of nerds to get together and play video games.

The biggest draw for the cosplayers was Riot’s League of Legends. Probably half of the costumes I saw were for that, and Riot had a costume contest near the end of the show, giving away about $150 worth of LoL currency (Spoiler alert: the Sinful Succulence Morgana with 8′ tall wings won).

There was also a cosplay panel. Alas, I did not get good pictures of the people running it, who were dressed as Lady Hawke from Dragon Age II and Lady Shepard from Mass Effect 2 (in both games, you can choose the gender of the protagonist). You can see them on their website though, at www.crabcatindustries.com.
