To cap off our Iron Mania week, we’ve got a retrospective on the Iron Man action figures that have appeared in the classic Marvel Legends line, by Toy Biz and Hasbro. Who better to put this together than Akatsuki, Platoon Leader of the Fwoosh’s Armored Division?

One of the things I’ve always loved about Iron Man are the specialty armors he develops. And because of that, unlike the many strange and useless “Knight Dive Batman” or “Space Slider Spider-Man” figures that might get made, having lots of different Iron Men populating your shelves always looks awesome. And while Iron Man isn’t my favorite character (that honor belongs to Thor), I really enjoy buying and setting up little armories of him.

Lego CubeDude Iron Man by MacLane

This Lego “CubeDude” Iron Man was designed and built by Angus MacLane. For Lego fans, MacLane says that CubeDudes have “All of the charm of Miniland scale with the specificity of the MiniFig scale.”

Here we have Wal-Mart’s exclusive 6″ scale Iron Man 2 figures (Mark VI and War Machine.) At first glance, they’re definitely some swanky looking figures and by far a vast improvement upon the Iron Man figures Hasbro delivered to us in 2008.
