Thanksgiving Toy Run: Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier on Sale for $39.99 at ToysRUs.com

As a Rewards R Us member, I saw that the Marvel Universe SHIELD Helicarrier would be on sale in Toys R Us stores for Thanksgiving. Thankfully, I was spared having to write a diatribe about how TRU should stop treating its online customers different from its brick and mortar customers, because the Helicarrier is also on sale for $39.99 on the TRU.com website.

I won’t go so far as to call it the USS Flagg of the Marvel Universe generation, but I doubt we’ll ever see another vehicle this large from Hasbro’s Marvel team any time soon. At half off it’s a good deal, and you’ll only need to add $10 to your cart to trigger free shipping. You could also wait until TRU opens their doors at 5PM tonight to look for one in the stores – but does anyone want to go out shopping right after a big turkey meal? Isn’t Black Friday in the wee hours punishment enough? Happy Thanksgiving!

Border Patrol: Marvel Legends Beta Ray Bill, Nova Prime, and Wonder Man

This week, I found some more custom Marvel Legends that I’d like to have in my collection.

Marvel Legends Beta Ray Bill by Leech Customs – whether you prefer the Marvel Select Thor or the newer Marvel Legends Thor, the problem is that your Beta Ray Bill from back in the Toy Biz days is now a bit undersized – I’ve been thinking for a while about transposing some parts onto a newer Wrecking Crew body, and now I can see it will work out just great – as an added bonus, Stormbreaker has been enhanced with a very nice handle that hangs the way it should, no matter what position the hammer is in – ends Nov 28, 2013 18:54:15 PST

Hot Toys Reveals Avengers Chitauri Footsoldier, Commander, and Two Figure Set

It’s been well over a year since Hot Toys teased the Chitauri footsoldier from the Marvel Avengers movie. In that time, we’ve already seen the post-Avengers Iron Man and Thor sequels. But I suppose the wait has been worth it, because they not only officially revealed the grunt, but threw in a commander and a 2-pack featuring both figures, for the army builders out there.

But if Hot Toys really wants to impress, let’s see an in-scale Leviathan. As awesome as they are, I think that might be out of their reach. 😀
