BotCon 2011 – Transformers Masterpiece and Prime

I didn’t get to BotCon 2011 until Sunday, so I wasn’t present during the Hasbro Panel. Nevertheless, I did gather a lot of pics from that one day that I did attend.

Let’s start with some Hasbro Masterpieces!

MASTERPIECE

Rodimus Prime

Rodimus Prime is Hasbro’s version of the Takara Masterpiece. He doesn’t have the trailer that the Takara version does and he seems to have some slightly different paint applications as well. Also included is the Offshoot mini-bot. This one’s a Toys ‘R’ Us exclusive. I hope the MSRP of $49.99 sticks!

UNICRON

Unicron is an Amazon Exclusive and appears to have more cartoon-accurate colors than it’s previous versions.

TRANSFORMERS PRIME

Hasbro had some deluxe figures on display from the animated toy line Transformers Prime: Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Starscream and Megatron. They also showed the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con Preview Prime.

Here are the kids in the show. Sigh, I actually think these kids are a distraction to the show, but I guess they have to put them in there.

Here’s the 2011 SDCC First Edition Optimus Prime.

I actually like some of the designs in the show – I wonder if they’re doing different scales for this line.

That’s it for now. Thanks for looking!
