Mattel Superman: Man of Steel Movie Masters Pre-Order on Amazon, Ships May 15

Man of Steel Movie Masters figures are up for pre-order on Amazon, but it’s almost like a straight up purchase because they have the in-stock date as May 15. I guess Mattel must have backed their trucks into the Amazon warehouse (or however that’s supposed to work) because in the past couple days I’ve seen the Batman Classic TV Series figures and the latest DC Unlimited put up for sale at the online retail juggernaut. Speaking of Juggs, wouldn’t it be great to get some new Marvel Legends on Amazon soon?

Up, up, and away!

Farpoint Power of Grayskull Diorama 01

The guys at Farpoint Toys & Collectibles shared their out of this world Power of Grayskull Diorama with us. The display is in a 9.5 x 8 foot store window. It’s got over 40 Masters of the Universe Classics figures in it, and over a thousand bricks in its custom Castle Grayskull. It’s so incredible that I’d be willing to set foot in New Jersey just to see it. (Hey, I used to lived there, so I can joke about it!)

Bill has shared his latest comic, JLI: Moonlighting. He’s a fan of the Giffen / Maguire run, and he captures their style fun in this comic. It stars the core members of the original team: Batman, J’onn J’onzz, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Guy Gardner, Black Canary, Mr. Miracle, and Captain Atom. Bill also threw in Maxwell Lord for good measure. Be sure to check out more of his comics at Bill’s Comics.

Mattel DC Comics Unlimited Darkseid, Aquaman, Joker, and Batman Available on Amazon.com

DC Comics Unlimited Darkseid Collector Figure DC Comics Unlimited Aquaman Collector Figure DC Comics Unlimited Joker Collector Figure DC Comics Unlimited Batman Collector Figure

I was just browsing Amazon after seeing the Batman Classic TV Series figures up for pre-order and noticed that the latest DC Comics Unlimited wave is available now. Since these are direct from Amazon, they’re not jacked up in price (yet) and have the Prime option available. Darkseid still looks way too top-heavy for me, but I know lots of folks are collecting the New 52 looks of these characters.

I have not been seeing a lot of retail presence for this line, so Amazon may be your best shot. Happy shopping!

Mattel Batman Classic TV Series Figures Available to Pre-Order on Amazon.com

Batman Classic TV Series

The whole assortment of DC Universe Batman Classic TV Series figures are now available for pre-order on Amazon.com. I grew up loving the show, catching it on re-runs almost every day. I’ll admit, when I first heard about the toys, I wasn’t feeling too enthused. After years of collecting muscle-bound action figures, something about getting a not-that-cut Batman wasn’t gelling. But the Rogues Gallery for the show was outstanding, and while the Riddler and Penguin on their own didn’t get me over my hesitancy, the latter reveals of the Joker and Catwoman have gotten me close.

At the current Amazon prices ($15.99 for singles and $29.99 for the 2-pack) these are probably as cheap as you’ll see them – and as Prime products direct from Amazon, you’ll get free 2-day shipping if you are a Prime subscriber or get free regular shipping if you’re not but spend over $25. Amazon has a release date for all figures on August 1. No sign yet of the 1/12 scale Batmobile, but keep your eyes open.
