Hot Toys Announces Michael Jackson (Bad Version) DX

When Hot Toys teased another DX announcement a couple of days ago, I don’t think many people guessed at another MJ – my guess was for a figure from the upcoming Iron Man 2 movie. With the pics included here, I can see why DX and PERS, the Parallel Eyeball Rolling System that Hot Toys innovated, makes sense for Michael Jackson. The lifelike quality it has in these shots is uncanny.

No pre-order for this yet, but the Thriller version (with both friendly and zombie heads and costumes) is still available at Sideshow Toys.

Indulge in Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson is forever in our heart. Paying tribute to the King of Pop, the most successful and influential entertainer of all time, we are proud to present the Michael Jackson’s collectible figure again, this time depicting his image in his popular hit Bad’s music video in 1987.

This fine collectible is one of the M ICON DX series, highlighting Hot Toys' exclusively invented Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS), newly developed head sculpt and multi-layered stereoscopic hair sculpture. All these combined real-like features would bring him back to life!

Another highlight is the one-of-his-kind costume. This full set of Bad version costume is highly-detailed, showcasing not only the outfits, but also the accessories such as buckled belts and riveted gloves. Again value-added, this deluxe set is complimentary with a set of upper outfit portraying his Dirty Diana music video image in 1988.

Stage is essential for superstar. A square-shaped deluxe figure stand with LED lights which imitates the stage effects is equipped for his great performance. Together with his nameplate and the M ICON DX series title, it is also a great collectible!

First Look – Masters of the Universe Classics Evil-Lyn – TheFwoosh.com

VeeBee continues the Mattel first looks with the Masters of the Universe Classics Evil-Lyn, the Club Eternia figure from April.

Even though your villains shelf already has a lot of blue and yellow to it – Evil-Lyn is going to stand out for you in a great way. She breaks up the man clan in Snake Mountain and certainly increases the evilness (like I said, it’s in the name!). She also represents, to me at least, the last piece of the puzzle for Skeletor’s main crew. Beastman, Mer-Man, Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw and Evel-Lyn were always the main baddies so it is really cool to call a small subset fininshed in my book.

It is strange though, the unannounced SDCC 2010 MOTUC exclusive figure not withstanding, Evil-Lyn is the last of the classic Masters figures to be released until AUGUST when Whiplash arrives. This line is going in some crazy cool directions, I am just glad to be a part of the ride.

More Hasbro Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man Figure Pics

Remember that 6-inch Iron Man 2 figure with RDJ’s head sculpt? It wasn’t on display in the Hasbro showroom when the nerd herd went through for the Hasbro Collector Briefing, but we did find some pics, courtesy of Marvel’s own photo essay of the Marvel products on display at Toy Fair. We’ll stay tuned for another installment of Geek-lactus from Marvel’s Jesse Falcon.

The final stop on our tour was the Hasbro showroom, which was swamped with “Iron Man 2” toys, games and accessories.

On display at Hasbro were Iron Man Mark I, Mark IV and Mark VI action figures; a life-size Mark IV armor; build-your-own-armor cards with translucent additions and Repulsor gloves; and a wearable, talking Iron Man helmet. Iron Man’s Red Vortex car won Best Toy at the British Toy Fair, and was prominently displayed and did not disappoint.  Marvel’s Director of Merchandising–and one of the madmen behind “Marvel Super Heroes: What The–?!”–Jesse Falcon took us through all of the toys in the showroom, which included a walking, talking, repulsor-blasting Iron Man.

But it wasn’t all Iron Man at Hasbro! Browse through our Toy Fair 2010 image gallery to see photos of new Super Hero Squad figures, numerous Spider-Man toys and dozens of Marvel Universe 3.75″ heroes and villains!

First Look – Masters of the Universe Classics Moss Man – TheFwoosh.com

It seems a little early, but the Fwoosh has kicked off its first looks at the upcoming MattyCollector.com products for the March sale. First up, the Masters of the Universe Classics Moss Man. Sadly, I have no idea where my box of vintage MOTU figures are, so I might be able to sniff my Moss Man again. I’m afraid they’ve been lost in the shuffle from parent to sibling storage.

Let’s take a look (and a wiff) at the classic things. First and foremost – Moss Man smells all nice and piney and you will know it even before you open the white mailer box (even though his blister does NOT have the standard vent holes, he is cooking in that plastic).

They say that your sense of smell is one of the strongest senses attached to memory and I am getting a caught up in being 5 years old again. I remember the smell of vintages Moss Man quite vividly. Like Stinkor, I don’t think I will ever forget that smell, burned on my brain. While this figure has a very strong smell of a pine forest, it is not EXACTLY the smell of the original, but you know, it is awesome. I really hope Matty baked that smell into him, I want the pine fresh scent forever.
