More DC Direct Blackest Night Pics – IGN

I am not sure if these four figures comprise an upcoming wave of Blackest Night figures from DC Direct. Arkillo and Black Lantern Hawkgirl had been previously announced for Wave 6, and I believe Hal Jordan was announced for Wave 7.

DC Prepares Next Blackest Night Toy Wave

Blockbuster series continues to spawn more figures.

To say Blackest Night has swept the industry would be a bit of an understatement. While DC’s collectibles line for the series had been fairly impressive, the overwhelming success of the event seems to be spawning more toys than originally anticipated.

Today DC is announcing four more figures to its arsenal: Blue Lantern Flash, Star Sapphire Wonder Woman, Black Lantern Hawkgirl and a new edition of Hal Jordan. These four figures will be on display at the 2010 Toy Fair. The show kicks off over the weekend, and we’ll have tons of pictures for you early next week.

WizKids/NECA Announces Watchmen Movie Heroclix

This is a very cool announcement.  A very long time ago, my wife’s father had a set of Watchmen comic miniature lead figures that he painted.  He also had a set of customs in that scale for the other characters that weren’t included in the set.  I can’t wait to see who is included in this set of 25 Heroclix!

Mattel Kicks Off Toy Fair with Triple H and WWE Legends

Mattel WWE and Triple H (1024x768).jpg

The Mattel WWE team got Toy Fair off to an early start, with WWE Superstar Triple H headlining a collector preview.  Neil Friedman, president of Mattel brands, and Donna Goldsmith, COO of the WWE, kicked off the event, highlighting that the partnership between Mattel and WWE is the first time WWE toys would be marketed with both kids and hardcore collectors in mind.

Triple H called the Mattel / WWE tag team a partnership of the “world champion in toys with the world champion in entertainment.”  He said that he and his fellow WWE superstars are impressed with the level of detail and articulation in the toys.  At one point, the wrestler struggled for the right words to describe his admiration of the toys, calling them “anatomically correct” with a laugh.  He then offered to take off his shirt to show that he is indeed “that ripped!”

Now, let’s get into the toys!

Hot Toys Terminator 2 Sarah Connor Teaser Pic

A few astute folks guessed Sarah Connor when Hot Toys teased an upcoming female heroine on their Facebook page.  This should be a fine companion piece to the T-800 Ahhhnold that they recently announced.  I’m curious how the arm articulation will work on a character with smaller limbs.

Long awaiting a heroine figurine?

The 1/6th scale Sarah Connor collectible figure from the Terminator 2: Judgment Day movie is coming forcefully in her military gear to protect her son soon!

Preview is available now! Stay tuned with us for update next week!
