Our own Sandman has given us some good looks at Sonic and Knuckles and Tails and Silver. Now our good friends at Jazwares have given us a preview of some more 3-inch scaled Sonic the Hedgehog figures that are coming out later this year. Since they’re all pending licensor approval, don’t consider these final prototypes.
Sonic is still going strong and we have many new items on the way!
I wanted to give you a sneak peek of some Sonic figures due later this year.
You are free to show these just make sure you say they are “Pending Licensor Approval”.

This is probably one of the more disturbing action figures I’ve seen. With spinning head action, the only think that could have made it more so would be if it shot pea soup of her mouth.
If NECA has this on display at San Diego Comic-Con, I’ll try to get some video of it. Yikes!
She’ll Make Your Head Spin
…Or at least hers will
It’s one of horror cinema’s all-time classic images: little girl, in bed, head spinning. NECA is proud to unveil our deluxe Exorcist boxed set of poor possessed Regan — complete with motorized spinning head!
The bed on which she rests is over 7” long, almost 6” across and over 5” tall. Regan herself is articulated at the neck, shoulders, and forearms, and motorized action allows the head to rotate 360 degrees timed in sync with the actual movie scene. The figure also plays music straight out of the film.
In the true spirit of terror — as in, you should be afraid you might not get one — we’re limiting our dear Regan to ONE PRODUCTION RUN. That’s it, buddy. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. It’ll be like they’ve been exorcised from our catalog.
The Regan deluxe boxed set will hit stores late September or October (in time for Halloween) and will also be featured on our Amazon storefront.
It’s been a Terminator kind of day. I just heard from Big Bad Toy Store, one of our awesome sponsors here at AFP, that the Hot Toys Terminator 2 T-800 I had on pre-order was added to my Pile of Loot – now it’s on its way here. I was also just at Toys R Us looking for the new NECA Terminator 2 figures, which just happen to feature the T-1000 in both the Galleria look and a battle-damaged look. Too bad for me, someone had cleaned them out – I only found some T-800 figures remaining.
In any case, this looks too awesome for me to pass up. The pictures just came online, so I’ll update this article with the full specs when I get them, but it looks like this figure is going to be loaded down with accessories. For now, enjoy the pics!
I’ll admit that I wasn’t that thrilled by how Spin Master handled the Last Airbender action figures, but I’m willing to give them another shot with the TRON: Legacy line of toys. I’ll hope that under Disney’s guidance these turn out better.
Both the 12-inch and 7.5-inch figure lines will feature facial images that are projected into / onto the heads. The prototypes for the smaller figures include some nice articulation for a toy with a lot of electronics – perhaps that accounts for the non-standard size.

Wow. If the Marvel Select Juggernaut isn’t an argument for what digital sculpting can achieve in the hands of skilled sculptors, I don’t know what is.
I know that Gentle Giant has done work the Marvel Select line before – the best example from recent history is the Marvel Select Modern Thor, my pick for best figure of 2008 – but they’ve really gone above and beyond here. Just check out that detail!
Nothing Can Stop Him
Hold on. Why do they always say that about the Juggernaut? I mean, am I wrong or do they not find a way to stop him EVERY TIME? Seems to me he gets stopped on a regular basis. Oh well, who cares as long as he romps and stomps right up until the stoppage? Whether he’s on the side of evil or good, everyone loves to see Cain Marko destroy anything in his path. Our good friends at Gentle Giant have been itching to see Juggy added to the Marvel Select line, especially if they got to do the sculpting, so here you go. Colors are brought to you by Eddie Wires…
