Marvel Select Thor: the Dark World Lands in Comic Book Stores Tomorrow

I saw Thor yesterday (one of the benefits of traveling overseas) and luckily, the Marvel Select Thor is hitting comic book stores tomorrow. Jane Foster in her Asgardian garb will have a connecting base, and while I’m happy she’ll finally have an action figure, I think Loki would have been just as good, or even a better choice. He really steals the show this time around.

Mattel Shares Comikaze Broom and Loo-Kee Reveals

If there was any doubt that Broom would be coming to Masters of the Universe Classics with Madame Razz, then check out the file name on the image. Mattel was not as forthcoming with Loo-Kee. Regardless, Princess of Power fans should be pleased with the Mattel’s final teases this year.

Bandai S.H. Figuarts Effects Coming in 2014

Bandai Effects 1 Bandai Effects 2 Bandai Effects 3

The Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA Facebook page has always got interesting pics, but these effects pieces look pretty interesting. I’ve known that Bandai has sold effects parts, like muzzle and jet blasts, for its Gundam figures, but these are the first items I’ve seen that look like they’re made for their S.H. Figuarts lines. They’ll look like they’d work great for the DragonBall Z figures, for example.

Hard to read the little signs, but it looks like they’ll be out early next year and retail for about $20 in Japan. I’d probably buy a few if they were about half that price. What about you?

Play Imaginative Teases Super Alloy Pacific Rim for 2014

So far, NECA’s been the main licensor of Pacific Rim, with action figures in the 7-inch and 18-inch varieties. With over $400MM in box office receipts, Play Imaginative has jumped on board with its Super Alloy diecast line. No word yet on which character(s) will be made in which scale, though I imagine Gispy Danger is a lock. Stay tuned!
