Masters of the Universe Classics Man-at-Arms On Sale July 15

Just wanted to post a quick reminder that our favorite mustachioed Eternian is going on sale tomorrow, July 15, at 9AM PT.  Since Man-at-Arms comes with an alternate head, the potential for army-building an Eternian Palace Guard will help this sell out quickly.  Don’t be late!

Man-At-Arms® Bio

Real Name: Duncan™

For two centuries, the Eternian weapons master and combat instructor to the royal family has been called the “Man-At-Arms®.” Trained by the renowned tactician Dekker™ and a veteran of the Great Unrest, Duncan™ was asked by King Randor™ to step into this position and fortify his guard with an elite strike force, which he named The Masters of the Universe®. In addition to his skills in combat, Duncan™ is also a great inventor and helped construct an electronic version of the Power Sword® for Adam to use until he could unite both halves of the sword of King Grayskull™. Man-At-Arms® and his adopted daughter Teela® often scout the borders of Eternia® for signs of lurking evil.

DC Universe Classics Battle For Earth 3 Two-Pack Goes Back On Sale July 1st

Update: Mattel has posted some tips on dealing with the infamous “red screen” while trying to order on Mattycollector.com on busy days.

A lot of fans have posted and discussed getting stuck on the red refresh screen when placing orders in the first few hours an item goes on sale.

A quick tip. Do NOT hit your refresh button. You should be on this screen for less than a minute. Every time you hit refresh it boots you to the back of the line again.

We’ll make sure to update this info on the red screen going forward!

Hope this helps.

Battle for Earth 3 - Alexander Luthor and Ultraman
Battle for Earth 3 - Alexander Luthor and Ultraman

Mattel has updated its Facebook page with notification that the second batch of Ultraman and Luthor sets will be on sale tomorrow, July 1st, at Noon ET.  You can check out our review of the Battle For Earth 3 two-pack here: https://www.actionfigurepics.com/2009/06/battle-for-earth-3-alexander-luthor-and-ultraman

The initial allotment sold out on June 15 in a couple of hours.  I think part of that was driven by sales of MOTU Classics Hordak, which opened at the same time, but you still might not want to sit on this too long if you are intent on getting this set.

Hey DCU fans,

Our second shipment of Alex Luthor and Ultraman has just arrived. This Earth 3 DCU two pack will go back on sale this Wednesday July 1st at 12:00 noon!

Secret Wars is a much-beloved toy line that was a tie-in to the Marvel Comics Secret Wars 12-issue limited series by Jim Shooter, Mike Zeck, and Bob Layton. The toy line was produced by Mattel in 1984 and 1985.

Captain America was part of the first of three series of figures, the last of which was released internationally.  The Doom Roller was one of three Dr. Doom-related vehicles released in the line.

Star Wars Bobble Heads – One Day Sale on Woot!

I’m not a bobble head collector. The last one I bought was several years ago, and it was for my wife.  I vaguely remember it being a Frankenberry bobble head, because there was a phase we went through where we were really enjoying the triumvirate of General Mills cereals (the other two being Count Chocula and Boo Berry.)  Turns out Frankenberry is my favorite of the three, but not hers.  So really, the bobble head turned out to be for me. And I’m not a bobble head collector. And while my wife likes Star Wars, she’s more a fan of the prequels. Regardless, it turns out she’s not a bobble head collector either.

But… if you are, and you also like Star Wars, this deal is about half off the prices I saw doing a quick search.
