Border Patrol: Mortal Kombat 6-Inch Ninjas by Jinzin

I still remember that San Diego Comic-Con years ago when Jazwares had first acquired the Mortal Kombat license – I got the Sub-Zero exclusive and was so let down. I often think about customizing some figures, but that time has passed for me. Here’s a set of Mortal Kombat ninjas from Jinzin, using DC Universe Classics as base figures.

  • Mortal Kombat Sub Zero by Jinzin – one of the original ninjas, this look is based on Sub-Zero’s appearance in the first Mortal Kombat game – ends Apr 12, 2014 17:47:30 PDT
  • Mortal Kombat Scorpion by Jinzin – also from the first Mortal Kombat, Scorpion was just a palette change from Sub-Zero, but still had the awesome GET OVER HERE spear attack – ends Apr 12, 2014 17:43:56 PDT
  • Mortal Kombat Smoke by Jinzin – one of the additions after Boon and Tobias realized people loved ninjas – Smoke is in his Shaolin Monks look – ends Apr 12, 2014 17:52:44 PDT

In AFP’s Border Patrol, we scour active eBay auctions for customized action figures that you won’t want to let slip by!

DC Collectibles Previews Two-Face and Mr. Freeze from Batman: The Animated Series Line

DC Collectibles surprised us at Toy Fair with their announcement of a new 6-inch line for Batman: The Animated Series, and shortly followed it with a closer look at the Batman and Catwoman figures from the first wave. At the time, they announced that Two-Face and Mr. Freeze would also be part of that wave – and here’s a preview of the digital sculpts and articulation breakdown.

I’ve been wondering how these will be received. For the longest time, the previous licensees (Mattel and Hasbro) produced Batman figures from animated shows in smaller scales, with a standard five points of articulation. Super-articulated and 6-inch scale is somewhat new ground – for an animated line, at least. Batman: TAS fans – are you psyched for these figures?

Bandai Announces S.H. Figuarts Uzumaki Naruto

When Toynami announced they were retiring their Naruto line last October, I know that Sandman was bummed. Well, he’ll be excited to hear that Bandai is making an Uzumaki Naruto figure in its S.H. Figuarts line… but he might not be too happy for his wallet – the SRP converted from Yen is about $42. The figure is due out in July this year.

Watch Marvel Super Heroes: What The–?! Deadpool vs the Punisher

Deadpool vs the Punisher

It’s been a while since Marvel has produced a new episode of our favorite Marvel Legends-laden videos. I checked in recently, wondering if the team would put up a video for Captain America: The Winter Soldier – instead, a few weeks back, for no special occasion, they dropped this video pitting the Punisher against the Merc with the Mouth. Why is the Punisher pissed at Deadpool, you ask? Watch the video!
