ThreeA Toys World War Robot Deep Powder Bot Sniper “Frank” and MK1 Square on Sale 4/4

We’ve seen a fair amount of Frank, the WWR Deep Powder Bot Sniper that goes on sale from 3A Toys tomorrow, but we haven’t seen much of Snippy, the MK1 Square that is Frank’s companion out in the snow. Ashley Wood had hoped a sample of Snippy would be available in advance of the pre-order sale, but offered us a drawing in its place. I like Frank and Snippy’s backstory, and the figure looks great.

Frank and Snippy go on sale at on 4/5 at 9AM Hong Kong time. For the timezone-challenged, that’s 9PM EST on 4/4 here in the States. You’ll be able to pre-order the sniper and the square at bambalandstore.com.

Hot Toys Announces Limited Edition Battle Damaged Iron Man Mark VII

To further capitalize on the upcoming Iron Man 3 movie launch (opens in the US on May 3), Hot Toys is releasing a limited battle-damaged version of the Avengers Iron Man Mark VII armor.

In addition to the battle damage on the armor, this figure will also feature a new RDJ head sculpt. It’s unclear how this will be released beyond the initial 800 figures in Hong Kong, but I imagine Sideshow Toys will get an allotment, as they have with previous Hot Toys limited releases. If you’re interested, I’d suggest you scoop up a pre-order as soon as you see it.

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy Haters Beware – Jar Jar Binks MIMOBOT a Reality

Last year, Mimoco yanked the chains of Star Wars prequel trilogy haters by announcing the Jar Jar Binks MIMOBOT USB flash drive – as an April Fool’s Day joke. Fast forward to this year’s April Fool’s – prequel haters brace yourself – they’re really doing it. The Jar Jar Binks MIMOBOT is available on the Mimoco website in limited quantities – 500 to be precise.

The joke now is that some hardcore Star Wars collectors may find themselves in a quandary that would challenge even Yoda: pick up what is sure to be an extremely limited exclusive for their collections, or skip the most hated character in the Star Wars universe. To help you say no, if you get Jar Jar and install the accompanying software, you’ll get a dose of Jar Jar Binks sound bites every time you plug him into your computer. Yousa people gonna die.

Border Patrol: The Walking Dead

Did you catch The Walking Dead finale this weekend? Crazy, huh? Actually, I haven’t seen it yet, and hope to catch it soon on Netflix, late at night and in a dark room. Still, eBay customizers are looking to ride the zombie wave, with a fair amount of Walking Dead customs this week. And, to my dismay, some spoilers have come with them.

The Governor (1/6 scale) by leftoverzombies – ok, so I can’t complain much about seeing the Governor and his lost eye, since he’s been all over the previews – I still try to avoid them but it’s almost impossible if you watch any TV these days – he comes with a lot of accessories, least of which is the removable bandage revealing some gruesome details – ends Apr 05, 2013 18:05:36 PDT
