Harley Quinn is in trouble, and Batman may be her only way out.
Harley has gotten herself on the wrong side of Black Mask, and the Joker has thrown her out on the street. So what’s a girl to do? Her only hope is that the Dark Knight finds her before Black Mask does.
You must read the tale called, “Hell Hath No Fury!”
I think I’m finally starting to understand the marketing of McFarlane’s Walking Dead building sets. By including the brick construction dimension in the product, McFarlane hopes to appeal to a broader set of customers. At the same time, they haven’t tried to subvert the Walking Dead by making them cute with bright colors and typical minifigures. So while I can’t imagine a kid expanding his LEGO collection with these, or a diorama builder extending these sets with LEGO bricks, the line seems to be working – more sets are on the way.
The enduring appeal will be to model kit diorama builders who will cannibalize the individual products to build massive set pieces, like the prison diorama McFarlane had on display.
Hasbro is conducting a new Fans Choice poll for Marvel Legends on the Marvel.com site. The four finalists, Darkhawk, Angela, Symbiote Spider-Man, and Mysterio, were selected by fans from an initial set of 16 choices at the Hasbro booth at San Diego Comic-Con. To rock the vote, Marvel offered up the chance to win a Stan Lee autographed SDCC-exclusive Marvel Infinite Series (nee Marvel Universe) Ant-Man set if you retweeted their announcement of the poll. (The winner was to be the 100th person to retweet, and there’ve been many more who’ve RT’d already.)
Need some help deciding? We’ve got the history (including action figures) for each choice.
I’m not collecting these myself, but this might be a good time to jump on board, or just fill out your roster of survivors and walkers from the show. Almost all of the main cast from the past couple of seasons are available. (Daryl, Beth, Maggie, and Carl are the notables ones that aren’t.) And there’s zombies too, including Merle. Sorry if that’s a spoiler – hey, that happened a while ago!

From time to time I get questions from readers on where to find stands. Back in the day, McFarlane sold them online, but stopped several years back. Pro Tech stands have been the de facto stand-in, but start at 44 cents a pop, although they get cheaper in big quantities. But at 24 cents a stand, the EE deal is pretty damn good; the cheapest the Pro Tech stands get are 33 cents each, but you have to buy over 500!
EE has got five color options – clear, white, tan gray, and black. These should work with all your Hasbro 4-inchers – G.I. JOEs, Marvel Universe, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones (although I don’t know many who have these) – and 4-inchers from other lines, like Playmates Star Trek figures.
Hopefully we’ll see some better deals as the week progresses, but for now, cheap stands are a decent start. Happy shopping!
