Hats off to whoever has been taking the pictures for the recent Diamond Select Toys reveals. These shots of Marvel vs. Capcom Minimates Series 3 capture all the fun that can be had with Minimates. There’s some real dream match-ups here.
And if this shot doesn’t sell you on a Minimates MODOK, I don’t know what will.
I just bought a Halo figure from 3A Toys for $170 (list price is $200 but I am a 3AA member and get a discount) and I haven’t played a Halo game in years. I guess I’m pretty enamored with the Spartan armor – I started with McFarlane and got mesmerized with Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai Spartans. And now 3A had to come along and feed my addiction with some 1/6 scale versions. Let’s face it – with fiber optic lighting, magnetized armor and weapons, and some kick-ass sculpting and paint apps, I really didn’t stand a chance.
Commander Carter will be available at specialty retailers, but the Spartan MKV Commando will only be available at bambalandstore.com for a limited time – that’s the one I picked up.
It feels like the push to subscribe to Mattel’s DC Universe Club Infinite Earths for 2013 hasn’t been quite as strong as Mattel’s effort for the Masters of the Universe Classics Club Eternia, but judging from the thermometer, it’s probably more severe. Mattel’s posted pics of the potential DC subscription figures on their Facebook page.
Saint Walker the Blue Lantern will be the Jan monthly figu if we hit the min number of subs. He will come with his lantern (not shown)
Phantom Stranger will be the Feb figure if the sub goes through. He has been a long time coming having been sculpted almost two years ago!
Long time fan demanded JL member Elongated Man will come with a second “stretchy” hand and his mag glass. He will be the March figure if we get the min number of subs.
He didn’t make the 2011 retail line, but now thanks to Club Infinte Earth the Orange Lantern is here. Ideally the April figure if the sub moves forward!
Wally West rounds out our reveals as the tenitive May figure for Club Infinite Earth!
M. Mallah and the Brain! This will be the Club figure if we sell the min number of subs for 2013.

Our next POP figure will hopefully be Netossa, one of the hardest of the vintage figs to track down! She comes with a net/cape and her shield! If the sub happens she will be the Jan monthly figure.
Next up is Jitsu! If the sub moves forward he will be the Feb. figure and comes with three swords, two of which will snap into his back armor. And don’t forget that trademark chopping hand!
Fan Man comes straight from the classic Filmation series. He will also come with his time tablet and will be the March figure should the sub hit the min number of subscribers.
King He-Man is the bonus sub only figure. He will come with his staff and battle damaged electronic Power Sword! He will also include a brand neww mini comic telling the Secret Origin of Skeletor!
Ram Man will hopefully be the first of the Quarterly overzied/or variant figures. He will have a second helmet-less head and his ax.
The vintage model kit drivers are here at last as The Fighting Foe Men (and concept name for the orignal 1982 line!). If the sub moves forward they will be the second quarter oversized/variant slot (in this case a 3 pack). They will also include swapable chest logos to turn them into members of the Horde!
Although not part of the sub, Strobo, our “traveling convention figure” will only move forward if there is a sub. He will come with his orb, orb holder, ray gun (which didn’t make it to SDCC!) and a maskless Zodak head for your exisiting Zodak figure from 2009! Told you we’d get to this!
