Masters of the Universe Classics Princess Adora, Battle Armor He-Man, and Re-Issued Beast Man on Sale January 15

For those of you still recovering after the big sale day on MattyCollector.com this month, I’m sorry to say that you might not get a break in January.  Mattel just updated the store with the Masters of the Universe Classics items for 1/15, and in addition to Princess Adora from She-Ra, we’ve got Battle Armor He-Man and a re-issue of Beast Man as bonus figures.

I’ve got a Club Eternia subscription, so I’ll be getting Princess Adora, but Battle Armor He-Man was one of my favorite figures as a kid, so I’ll definitely be picking him up too.  I wish Mattel and Digital River would figure out how to combine orders so I don’t keep getting hit with multiple shipping charges.  Adding the bonus figures to the subscription isn’t the solution, either, because I also would want to include purchases from the other lines like Ghostbusters and DC Universe Classics.  Is it really so hard to fix this?

Princess Adora, Battle Armor® He-Man® & Beast Man® On Sale 1/15

MOTU Fans,

The first sale of 2010 is only a month away and it’s gonna be total MOTU madness! Friday, January 15th marks our first offering ever of both Princess Adora and the ridiculously cool Battle Armor® He-Man® who comes with swappable armor plates.

We’ve also got a reissue of Beast Man®, so if he escaped your collection the first time we offered him, here’s your chance to snag one.

As usual, the fun starts here at MattyCollector.com at 12:00 noon Eastern (9:00am Pacific), so remember to mark your calendar. You can also click here to register for email and we’ll send a reminder to your inbox.

Hot Toys Batman DX Special Features Videos

The Hot Toys Batman DX is now available in the Hong Kong market, and to support his release Hot Toys has updated their YouTube channel with videos that demonstrate the special features of the figure, including PERS (the Parallel Eyeball Rolling System), the light up feature for the sonar eyes, the interchangeable faces, and the transformable gun.

I’m not clear when this figure will actually be released – my pre-order still says 2Q 2010, but have heard some rumblings that it will be out sooner.

Marvel Select Deadpool Painted Prototype Pic

As a Marvel Legends collector, I’m one of the people who wish that DST would stick to larger figures in Marvel Select who would complement my collection.  But I do recognize that Marvel Select collectors need love too – and I like this Deadpool more now that I’ve seen it with paint.  Ball-jointed hips and double-knees help too, and I wonder if those are elbros (ball-jointed elbows a la Hasbro) too.

Yeah, it’s getting late and the jokes are getting cornier – what can I say? To make up for it, I’ll let you see the approved paint deco for the Marvel Select Deadpool figure. I don’t have any pictures handy for the weapons or the unmasked head, but take my word for it when I say they complete the figure perfectly.

Mattel Reveals DC Theme for 2010 and DC Universe Classics Wave 12 Packaged Pics

I’ve gotta hand it to Mattel – they know how to make dynamic packaging.  I like the theme (congrats to many who guessed it would be DC’s 75th anniversary) and the new layout is clear and vibrant.  Wave 12 is looking sweet.  Mary Batson will be a 50/50 variant and the glow-in-the-dark Spectre will be a chase figure.
