Hasbro Reveals New Star Wars Rebels Action Figures [Spoilers]

Hasbro Star Wars Rebels Reveals (spoiler-free)

Hasbro has revealed the latest figures from its Star Wars Rebels line, featuring a duo from the finale of the first season. Just in case you haven’t seen the finale yet, the image above only shows the figures in silhouette – I’d hate to be the one to spoil it for you. But be warned, they appear below in all their glory.

This pair of Star Wars Rebels figures will be available this fall.

Weekend Toy Run: Time to Army-Build Star Wars Black Series Stormtroopers

Star Wars Black Series Darth Vader and Stormtroopers on Cloud City

For a while it was tough to find the Star Wars Black Series Stormtroopers. They were originally in the wave 3 case packs that included prequel Obi Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and a repack of Han Solo. Since Han had just been released in wave 2, I was expecting smaller orders and less availability for the wave overall.

That seems to be alleviated now, as Amazon has the Stormtroopers on sale for $15.34 (normally $22.99). Since Amazon is notorious for making many price adjustments throughout each day, Entertainment Earth also has the Stormtroopers for $19.99 each (but they’ll arrive in May.) After all, you’ve got to have at least 50 Stormtroopers, right? 😀

Hasbro Strikes Back with Marvel Star Wars #1 Variant Cover

Our friends at Hasbro sent over this update which is guaranteed to make any army builder seethe with the Dark Side. Envy leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. You know the rest.

I felt lucky to get four Stormtroopers – this shot has fifty! I sense much envy in you.

Hello, Star Wars fans!

This morning, Diamond Comics feed debuted the latest (and we think greatest) variant cover to Marvel’s eagerly anticipated new comic, STAR WARS #1: the HASBRO PREVIEWS EXCLUSIVE VARIANT

The variant cover was photographed using Hasbro’s STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES 6-inch figures, including Darth Vader and Boba Fett, the upcoming Emperor Palpatine, Bossk and IG-88 figures, and 50 Stormtroopers!

STAR WARS #1 will be available from Marvel in January 2015, featuring the all-star creative team of Jason Aaron and John Cassaday with a story that picks up shortly after the events of STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE! For more information on how to order copies, including the HASBRO PREVIEWS EXCLUSIVE VARIANT cover, contact your local comic shop.

SDCC 2014: Hasbro Star Wars Black (Preview Night)

SDCC 2014 - Hasbro Star Wars Black Preview Night

Fans of Hasbro’s 6-inch lines may be underwhelmed by what was shown for their Star Wars Black Series 6-inchers at Preview Night. No new reveals, but I was happy to see the deluxe figures – both Jabba and the Speeder Bike look awesome – and next wave of single-packed figures on display.

Paint apps still seem to be the weak link in terms of production quality – and it stands out most on the human figures with their G.I. Joe-styled eyes, like on Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. Darth Vader looks good, but he does seem a little bloated with the cloth apps. The standout for me is Chewbacca.

Overall, with so little on display tonight, it does hint that the retail channel is a little backed up on this line. But stay tuned – Hasbro’s Star Wars panel is on Friday, so we can hope for a few more reveals then.
