Reminder – Masters of the Universe Classics Optikk, Tytus, Mer-Man and More On Sale May 17

This Monday may be another fun day at MattyCollector.com. Six separate figures (which can be purchased on the bundle page for the month) will be on sale:

  • Masters of the Universe Classics Optikk – the first character from the New Adventures of He-Man is the Club Eternia figure for the month
  • Masters of the Universe Classics Tytus – the fighting giant is the over-sized bonus figure
  • Masters of the Universe Classics Mer-Man – this will be his first re-issue
  • The Dark Knight Two Face – at long last, if you’re looking to complete your collection of Dark Knight Movie Masters, Two-Face is the last lead character to get a figure – you don’t count Rachel Dawes, do you?
  • Retro-Action DC Super-Heroes Green Lantern
  • Ghostbusters Walter Peck

I’m wondering how Tytus will do – while he looks great, I think a lot of people expected more articulation for a $40 figure. But who am I kidding? He’ll still sell out. Good luck on Monday!

  1. Anyone have any idea what ordering trick the guy named El Far is talking about over on Matty’s Forum?

    Here’s what he said:
“No problem with my order. I noticed an ordering trick which I will use for the huge sale in June. It’s pretty easy to discover actually. I used this trick and I was in and out in 1 minute.”

Be nice to actually know how to get the new MOTUC figures on release date for once… @_@

  2. I don’t know what the trick is, but I sure could have used it today. I kept getting a message saying they couldn’t process my payment, and I kept trying to enter my card info, to no avail. But Tytus sold out before I could get an order in. This is my first miss on MattyCollector so far, so my lucky streak is over.

  3. I’ve read on the Matty and He-Man.org forums that the error saying that the “payment authorization failure” error just meant that the item had sold out. Nothing was wrong with your card.

Digital River added a message at the start of checkout that said they couldn’t guarantee items, but they also took away the message at the end that would say an item had sold out…and seem to have replaced it with that payment authorization error message instead.
