New York Comic Con 2010 – Booth Babes

Booth Babes (17) (1200x899).jpg

Yeah, I know that New York Comic Con was a couple of weekends ago, but you didn’t think that I’d go to a Comic Con and not take pictures of booth babes. Did you?

While there were definitely some very attractive cosplayers (and relatively few professional booth babes), NYCC still has a ways to go before it rivals San Diego Comic-Con in this regard. California Gurls and all that – you can make fun of me now for saying “Gurls.” I blame you, Snoop Dogg!

NECA Predator Series 2 Press Pics

Based on Talyn’s review of the classic Predator from the first series, I want to check out some of these NECA Predators. But, they’re tough to pick up because they don’t stick around on the shelves too long.

Predators Get Even Uglier

Hunt down Series 2 while you can!

You know a space alien is awesome when not even Laurence Fishburne can outlast it. Not that the mighty Predators had anything left to prove after taking on Arnold, Danny Glover, and those ugly Aliens (twice!), but who would have guessed Adrien Brody would turn into such a formidable opponent?

I mean, seriously. The dude was in The Darjeeling Limited!

It’s a strange world, and even more so when you’ve been kidnapped and dropped from the sky onto a foreign planet only to be hunted by the most ruthless trackers in the galaxy, which is precisely the predicament the cast of Predators (which included the always-awesome Danny Trejo) found themselves in when the film was released this summer.

To honor their captors, we’ve got our brand new Predators Series 2 figures out next month. With all-new sculpts of the Berserker Predator, the Tracker Predator and a battle-damaged Classic Predator that stand over 8 inches tall each, it’s our most fearsome line of Predator figures yet!

Each of the three new Predators comes with unique weaponry and an astounding 20+ points of articulation! Not only can they slice you open with a flick of their hand, but they’re flexible too! …We should all be very afraid.

Predators Series 2 will be in stores in November, and of course, the figures will also be featured on our Amazon storefront.

AFP Hasbro G.I. JOE Q&A for 10/22/10

It took a little bit longer than normal, but the G.I. JOE team at Hasbro is back with another round of Q&A.

1) We’re all excited about the G.I. Joe Renegades show on the Hub premiering November 26. When will we start hearing about toy lines to support the show?

Green Lantern Classics Manhunter and Mongul Auctions

AFP reader Shadow Contact did us a solid and sent us something we can post on a lazy Friday morning – aside from today’s CaptionFigurePics.com entry, that is.

So, if you’re one of those guys who can’t wait for figures that are going to hit retail in just a couple of months, then these eBay auctions for two of the first series of Green Lantern Classics are for you.

DC Manhunter Robot Universe Green Lantern W1 presale – $50 Buy It Now – ends Nov 19, 2010 07:57:23 PST

DC Sinestro Corps Mongul Universe Green Lantern presale – $40 Buy It Now – ends Nov 19, 2010 07:57:23 PST

The interesting thing about Mongul is that his forearms look to be from new tooling. The original pic sent to online retailers (which you can see here in the Amazon pre-order page – Green Lantern Classics Mongul Collector Figure) shows him with the original forearms from when he was originally sold in the DC Superheroes line. The new bracers look like standard Sinestro Corps issue that he was drawn with when he first got his yellow ring. I wonder who will be the first to customize him with an empty eye socket!

Let me know if you decide to pick one up!
