I’m finally back from San Diego Comic-Con 2011, slowly recovering from jet-lag, and making an attempt to kick start my travel-addled brain to give you my picks for Best of SDCC 2011!

3) DC Universe Classics Wave 19 Hawkman has his hooded head as a Pack-In!

See it there, hiding behind Hawkman’s mace?

I had completely missed this at the show, and it wasn’t mentioned in either of the Mattel panels I was able to attend. It wasn’t until I got home and a friend pointed it out that I saw it. I’m incredibly happy that Mattel decided to make this Hawkman with swappable heads, as I’m not a fan of the “full beaked” mask. This improves DCUC 19 a hundred-fold for me.

Easy DC Universe Classics Custom Batman

Yes, I’m positively batty for Batman…

I’m currently in the middle of a couple complicated custom jobs (that aren’t Batman related) and I decided that in my down time, waiting for something to cure, dry, etc., I should do something fun and easy that would actually go on my shelf. Here I go feeding Ron’s 4″ habit again! I came across these little guys from Marvel Universe Captain America: The First Avenger Wave 2 on a recent visit to TRU and, being the swell guy I am, checked in with fearless leader, Ron to see if he was in need of any of them. Marvel Universe Giant-Size X-Men Quick Pics

To spread some more Marvel love, here are some Quick Pics of the newly released Marvel Universe Giant-Size X-Men set!

For those who want to know the particulars, I picked up this set at my local TRU for the sum of $34.99 plus tax. The set is actually for Ron who is having a hard time finding it out on the Left Coast. I normally shun the 4″ Devil and all his tiny works but for a good friend like Ron, I risked the chance of falling victim to the allure of MU.
