Mattel San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives on Sale on 8/2

Don’t forget – Monday at Noon EST, Mattel’s exclusives from San Diego Comic-Con go on sale on MattyCollector.com. Here’s the link to the bundled page.

Orko and Plastic Man sold out at the show first, and I imagine some people who got Orko at SDCC will be trying for this version too, because it doesn’t have the semi-translucent appearance that the Con-only color-change version does. Good luck!

Missed SDCC? Get Some of the Hottest Toys on 8/2!

Toy Fans,

Well, 2010 SDCC is over, but that doesn’t mean the chance to buy toys featured there has gone for good! As promised, we’re offering a limited number of some of the top SDCC products for purchase here at MattyCollector.com on Monday, August 2nd. Be here at at 9 a.m. PT (noon ET) for your chance at these collector gotta-gets:

These are the exact same products offered at SDCC, except the Starro Spores and Plastic Man suitcase aren’t available, and Orko doesn’t have the color-change features. Want a reminder sent to your inbox? Click here to sign up for email!

Hot Toys Announces Enter the Dragon Bruce Lee

I must have this. I hadn’t started sliding head first down the slippery slope of 1/6 scale figures when Enterbay made their Fist of Fury Bruce Lee, and I think the Hot Toys Enter the Dragon Bruce Lee may be the superior figure in terms of likeness and value. Two heads, each with the Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS)? Two costumes? Two dioramas? Fourteen (!) hands?

It’s crazy. And it will be mine.

Mattel Reveals Club Exclusive Figures for Masters of the Universe Classics and Ghostbusters

At the two Mattel panels today at San Diego Comic-Con, Mattel revealed the exclusive figures for their Club Eternia and Club Ecto-1 subscriptions for Masters of the Universe Classics and Ghostbuster 6-inch lines. They posted images on MattyCollector.com this afternoon.

I’m a little iffy on the He-Man, but somehow they made Bow kick some ass. For Ghostbusters, I am still on the fence – a Stay Puft-covered Ray is cool, but I need to figure out how many variants of the main Ghostbusters I really need.

We’ll have video coverage from both panels later today.

Four Horsemen Announce Symbiotech Tygos and Tygolith

The Four Horsemen have planned a new line of action figures that were borne out of Fantastic Exclusive – it’s the Symbiotech line, featuring a 4-inch scaled figure (the smaller one shown) with a larger figure paired with it. The line will also feature compatibility with the Glyos joint system, meaning they’ll also work with the Four Horsemen’s recently announced Outer Spacemen line.

As promised, exclusive to all of you FANtastic FANatics (but feel free to re-post these wherever you want), it’s TYGOS & TYGOLITH!!

These two guys will be the first releases for Symbiotech, and if we can work it out, we may release a second Pygma and Goleth pair at the same time to create the first wave!

We’re extremely excited about the new Symbio-Lock articulation we’ve put into Tygos! He has ball & socket joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees, and ankles!!

The back-packs and other fittings on the character’s armor are compatible with Onell Designs: Glyos pop & play system!

Not only that, but the shoulder joints have also incorporated the Glyos build system into the ball & socket joint which will allow customizers a new level of interchangeability!!

Check out the photos, let us know what you think, and if you’re at Comic Con, please be sure to come by booth #4045 to see the original, non-updated prototypes of three more Symbiotech: Pygma/Goleth pairs!
