Four Horsemen Reveal Next Seventh Kingdom Figures – Queen Alluxandra and Isadorra

The Four Horsemen have released images and a write-up for their latest entries in their 7th Kingdom line of figures.  I’m really looking forward to the rest of this week, when they’ll be revealing all of the different variants and the various online retailers and websites that are participating.  While Alluxandra was on display at San Diego Comic-Con last year, I don’t think Isadorra had been widely shown before today, and I’m pretty impressed that they were really able to get two very distinct figures out of the same basic buck.  Should be fun revealing the rest of the figures!

THE QUEEN AND HER COURT

Production of the Four Horsemen’s latest action figure offering  from their property “7th Kingdom” is in full swing and are expected to ship from the factory early next week. “Queen Alluxandra of the Bluddmane Clan” is the main character in this latest wave of figures from the Horsemen and in keeping with Four Horsemen tradition, she won’t be arriving by herself.

As with previous Seventh Kingdom Releases (Xetheus and Ramathorr), a group of exclusive variants of the main character have been created and will be offered through various online retailers, toy news websites, and action figure magazines.

Over the next four days (including today) the Four Horsemen will release images of Queen Alluxandra and her variants, and will also reveal the name of each character and where that figure can be purchased.

On Friday some of these figures will go up for pre-order on some of the retailers’ websites, and next week you’ll have the opportunity to pre-order the complete set of exclusives through the Four Horsemen’s own online retail outlet: Store Horsemen (http://www.StoreHorsemen.com).

These first two figures are going to be available only through the Four Horsemen themselves: “Queen Alluxandra of the Bluddmane Clan” and “Isadorra of the Ironspynne Clan”.

Both figures will come with their respective scepters, and each will also wield a battle sword for when diplomacy just doesn’t do the trick. Queen Aluxandra will also carry a removable dagger.

Each figures will retail for $20.00 and both will be available from the Four Horsemen at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con and through Store Horsemen.

Masters of the Universe Classics Update – Facebook

Toy Guru has posted an update for Masters of the Universe Classics on Mattel’s Facebook page.  Since it’s a long post, here’s a brief summary:

  • The line is doing well enough that we may see two MOTU Classics items on sale per month in 2010
  • They’ve found a lot of original MOTU material in the Mattel archives and will try to leverage it in the line
  • The He-Ro variant with the green spell stone will be the most common (red and purple less common), and figures sold at San Diego Comic-Con will have a tampo SDCC logo under his armor
  • Hordak’s on sale today, as well as the DC Universe Classics Alexander Luthor and Ultraman set
  • And some SDCC news – Battle Cat on Wednesday night, and more figures after their panel on Friday, and they’ll be selling subscriptions for 2010 on site

McFarlane Announces New Vehicle for Halo 5-Inch Line

McFarlane extends their Halo line by adding a vehicle to their 5-inch scaled line of Halo action figures, including an exclusive set for Toys R Us.  With their recent downsizing and the Halo line’s “in-between” scale, this is somewhat of a surprise.  Vehicles are commonplace in the 3.75-inch scale and practically non-existent in 6-inch scale.  Previously, Spawn had produced the Warthog, Ghost, and Brute Chopper for their smaller 3-inch line of Halo figures.

Granted, the Mongoose is one of the smallest vehicles in the Halo franchise, but if this does well, maybe we’ll see more.  Personally, I’d love to see a Warthog for this line.

NEW ‘HALO’ MONGOOSE — ULTRA-LIGHT, ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE COMING THIS FALL

Photos of the First ‘Halo’ Vehicle from McFarlane Toys

This October you can begin your vehicular assault with the Mongoose Ultra-light All-terrain Vehicle. The boxed set includes a 5-inch scale Mongoose and exclusive Spartan driver with 26 moving parts. The Mongoose comes loaded with various functionality including handlebars that turn, tires that spin, adjustable foot pegs and a rear seat that folds down to allow a 2nd figure to fit on the back! (Second figure sold separately)

The Mongoose is the first in-scale vehicle compatible with our 5-inch Halo figures. There are three versions available, each with a different Spartan:

  • MONGOOSE WITH ORANGE MARK V (new armor type!)
  • MONGOOSE WITH CYAN EOD
  • MONGOOSE WITH CRIMSON AND STEEL CQB (Exclusive to Diamond and Toys R Us!)

The Halo Mongoose is scheduled to reach stores nationwide in October.

DC Direct Blackest Night San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive – IGN.com

SDCC 09: Blackest Night Invades Comic-Con

From IGN.com we get news of a collection of Hal Jordan exclusives from DC Direct and Graphitti Designs for San Diego Comic-Con.  For those who are uninitiated, DC Comics has expanded the Green Lantern mythos in the past couple of years, adding Red, Orange, Blue, Indigo, Violet and Black Corps, completing the spectrum started with Green and Yellow.  All of these different colored Lantern Corps are clashing (no pun intended) this summer in DC’s crossover event, Blackest Night.

It’s unclear at this point whether Hal in the different Corps uniforms is something that we’re going to see in Blackest Night, or if this is just a set of figures aimed at Hal Jordan fanboys – in the lead-ups to Blackest Night, Hal has been taken over temporarily by a Red Lantern ring, and dual-wielded Green and Blue rings.

DCD and Graphitti have also not revealed the cost of each figure, but with the limited production runs and requirement to be at every day of the convention, I can see this being a highly coveted, if not costly convention exclusive.

DC Direct reveals exclusive figure set for blockbuster summer storyline.

Green Lantern fans listen up – DC is going to be offering a very limited item this July at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. For the first time, fans will be able to collect Hal Jordan not only as a Green Lantern, but as a member of the Red, Orange, Blue and Yellow Corps as well. Interested? We thought you might be. Read on for the details, including which colors will be available on which days.

The most important details are these: you can only get these items during the San Diego Comic-Con and supplies are extremely limited. Fans will be able to line up at the Graphitti Designs booth (#2315) for these rare collectibles starting on Wednesday, July 22. But here’s the catch – you’ll have to visit the booth each and every day for the latest color. Each customer can only buy 2 of each figure.

Here’s the breakdown of availability:

Wednesday (Preview Night) – July 22 – 6:00 pm
Hal Jordan: Green Lantern – 3,000 pieces available

Thursday, July 23 – 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Yellow Lantern – 1,500 pieces available

Friday, July 24 – 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Blue Lantern – 1,500 pieces available

Saturday, July 25 – 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Orange Lantern – 1,500 pieces available

Sunday, July 26 – 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Red Lantern – 1,500 pieces available

Each figure comes with its own lantern and a wearable power ring customized to each Corps. Each figure is available starting its respective day, and will continue to be on sale until it is sold out. As of press time, pricing information was unavailable. Each figure comes in its own four-color box. Be sure to check out the photos in this article for a better glimpse of each Hal Jordan figure.

Happy hunting, Green Lantern fans. And enjoy your convention travels.
