SDCC 2012: Marvel Legends Uncanny X-Force 3-Pack Reveal – Marvel.com

Marvel.com got the honors of revealing one of Hasbro’s exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con – a 3-pack Marvel Legends set of 3 of the big hitters from Uncanny X-Force. The set will feature Wolvering (of course), Archangel, and Psylocke for $49.99. Looks like Hasbro is staying true to the relaunch of Legends by keeping all the articulation we know and love – check out the rocker ankles on Wolvie. Can’t wait to see more!

Kasual Friday Reveals New Three-Inch Figure Line

Back in April, Dave Vonner hinted at teaming up with fellow Hasbro Alum Scott George during a special edition of the Fwooshcast. At the Philadelphia Comic Con, their collaboration, Kasual Friday, revealed a specialty line of figures.

Philadelphia – At Philly Comic Con, Kasual Friday revealed 3 new characters from their upcoming 3″ stylized figure line. Shown for the 1sttime were MGM’s Army of Darkness ASH and CLUBBER LANG along with King Features Syndicate’s THE PHANTOM. These figures will remain on display at Philadelphia Comic Con, Friday and Saturday at theStylinOnline.com booth. Figures will be available Spring 2013.

While at Hasbro, Dave and Scott teamed up to bring us the Marvel Universe line, with Dave on design and Scott on marketing. I’m looking forward to seeing what else they’ll bring to the table with Kasual Friday.

Mattel San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Pre-Orders Starting May 30

MattyCollector.com has opened up pre-orders for the Mattel San Diego Comic-Con 2012 exclusives. As I previously discussed, I think this year’s exclusives, including the Masters of the Universe Classics Vykron, are a little off the mark – I’m probably going to leave it up to my show floor impulses to decide if I’ll pick anything up.

One new item that wasn’t covered in the initial reveals is the The Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters Figure, which features Bruce Wayne with a Batman suit. The figure itself looks to be a standard DC Universe Classics buck, and the suit is a flexible overlay. I imagine it will limit most of the articulation, but as presented in package (the armory of the Batcave) it looks pretty cool.

MTV Geek has got the goods on the latest Marvel Select announcement from Diamond Select Toys – none other than Rhino, a frequent opponent of Spider-Man, the Hulk, and more recently, Deadpool – all of whom have had their own figures released in the Select line. Looks like Gentle Giant has knocked this one out of the park, sculpt-wise. I’m hoping we’ll see thigh swivels on the final figure.

More info and pics at MTV Geek.
