Masters of the Universe Classics Ram Man *Not* for Sale Today

MattyCollector 1-15 Sale

Missing something? If you did not sign up for Club Eternia for 2013 and were hoping to snag the sure-to-be-an-instant-sell-out Masters of the Universe Classics Ram Man today, save your F5 button for another month – Ram Man is delayed. I suppose we should have expected it. After all, our friend Logistics has struck the MOTUC line for four months running now. Maybe it’s time for Mattel to just acknowledge that they’re off by a month now and adjust the schedule accordingly – at least before the next line-up announcement at Toy Fair next month.

What’s left is somewhat tepid sales day in Ram Man’s absence. We’ve got Princess of Power Netossa for Club Eternia, Blue Lantern Saint Walker for Club Infinite Earths, and… hold on, Rorschach is here to save the day for Club Black Freighter (do you mind if I just call it the Watchmen sub from now on?) So, maybe January isn’t so bad after all! Hurm.

For your convenience, here’s the MattyCollector bundle page for January. And if you are a subscriber, here’s the login page for subscriptions. Early access is also available through the top navigation there. Inexplicably, it’s not linked anywhere on the regular MattyCollector page.

Mattel Reveals Club Black Freighter Watchmen Packaging and Masters of the Universe Classics Snake Face – Video

Watchmen Club Black Freighter Packaging

Rorschach from the DC Comics Watchmen is coming our way on MattyCollector’s January 15 sale as part of the Club Black Freighter subscription, and Toy Guru has just revealed the packaging for it. I think it looks pretty slick, with an outer slip cover and a book-style inner package that looks relatively more friendly for folks who like to play with their action figures and keep the packaging too.

TG also previewed the Masters of the Universe Classics Snake Face, the Snake Man who is scheduled to arrive in April this year. Check out the video for Rorschach and Snake Face, as well as pics of Rorschach and the additional card inserts from his upcoming sales page.

AFP’s Best of 2012 – Talyn’s Picks

Masters of the Universe Classics Castle GrayskullmanTransformers Optimus PrimeTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Raphael

2012 Was a pretty amazing year for toys. It was hard to narrow it down to one favorite figure for the year. A few contenders were the super-rad Castle Grayskullman from Master of the Universe Classics, and the Hasbro version of MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime. But in the end, pure child-like excitement and fun won the day with my number one choice.

A lot of new properties popped up like the new Nickelodeon TMNT line. This line really surprised everyone, myself included. The four main turtles were perfectly articulated, masterfully sculpted, and insanely low priced. I never would have imagined in 2012 we could get a great figure like this for under $8. That is why my choice is the new Playmates Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Raphael.

Last Chance to Pre-Order Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskull and Buy the Holiday Gift Paks

Maybe you weren’t ready to make the commitment back when the outcome was uncertain. But Castle Grayskull *is* getting made, and the pre-orders close out Friday morning at 9AM PST. It’s a new year, so can you commit now? Worry not, if you still can’t pull the trigger on Castle Grayskull now, you’ll get the chance late in the year when it actually is available for sale – that is, if our good friend Logistics doesn’t have anything to say about it.

Castle Grayskull

All-new Castle Grayskull to be released in 2013 as long as we hit our minimum production goal.

via Castle Grayskull.

If you do pre-order now, though, you’ll save $50 or more (day of sales were said to be at least $300), you’ll get an awesome poster, and you’ll also get to vote on who appears in the Rudy Obrero artwork for the packaging. Did I mention the $50?

Also closing out at the same time tomorrow – the MOTUC and Ghostbusters Holiday Gift Paks comprised of stuff that has been languishing in the Digital River warehouse. If you don’t buy them now, next stop, Walmart?

Masters of the Universe Classics Granamyr Still Available, But Not For Long

If you are on the fence on the ginormous Masters of the Universe Classics dragon, Granymyr is still available from the December sale – but for how long we’re not sure. Toy Guru says this is your last chance:

Oh, and since I know everyone likes updates, Granamyr is going awesome. He is still in stock but looks to be on the way to selling out. We’re getting the final shipment in so all orders should now be going out as the come in. Thanks for supporting this one! And no, no word right now on a green repaint. If you are passing on the current one to wait for a repaint, that really isn’t in the cards. He is selling out, but not at the rate that would justify a redeco due to the high price point and low quota. This is pretty much THE Granamyr we’ll be making right now.

You can order him at the Granamyr™ Figure page on MattyCollector. Folks who did order and have received theirs are reporting great paint and sculpt, but suggest some caution during assembly of the arms. I still haven’t put in an order – I think it’s an incredible piece, and the artwork by Rudy Obrero is a bonus, but I honestly have no place to put him.
