Seventh Kingdom – Ramathorr and Store Horsemen Exclusive Chalice of Guudenuph

7th Kingdom - Ramathorr and Chalice of Guudenuph 1 (1200x1200).jpg

I’m a little behind on posting this, but at the end of last year (ok, more than just a little behind), the Four Horsemen held a sale on items at their online store, the Store Horsemen. Although I passed on the “swimsuit” variant of Queen Alluxandra, I had put off picking up a Ramathorr for long enough. And while I was there, I couldn’t help but pick up a Chalice of Guudenuph, the Store Horsemen exclusive variant pink elephant.

Pop Culture Shock Announces New Line of Thundercats Statues

For those of you hoping hearing the buzz about a new Thundercats license, here you go. I’ve always liked the Pop Culture Shock mixed media statues, especially the Street Fighter and Darkstalker women. But I’ll still be waiting impatiently for Thundercats action figures.

THUNDERCATS ON TAP FOR POP CULTURE SHOCK COLLECTIBLES

80’s Icons Immortalized in Premium Format Statue Line

NORTHRIDGE, CA (March 26, 2010): Pop Culture Shock Collectibles are pleased to announce they are the newest licensor for the wildly popular 80’s cartoon Thundercats! This licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products will bring 1/4 scale mixed media statues to hardcore collector’s homes in 2010.

The 1/4 scale mixed media series offers highly detailed sculpting, beautiful paints and cloth costumes on figures 17” and larger providing a stunning collection for the most discriminating fan. The Thundercats line will adopt this same amazing quality.

Now, Thundercats will get the star treatment once again that this killer animation classic deserves. We are extremely excited to be working closely with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on this project and can’t wait to show fans of the series what they will soon be able to bring home.”

Kick-Ass Figure Set Available for Pre-Order at Mezco Direct

I never finished the Kick-Ass comic, but people keep telling me I should – and the movie is getting some great buzz too. The figures aren’t as articulated as I’d like. Mezco delivered some great figures in their Hellboy movie lines that were highly articulated, so while the sculpts look great, I want more from my super heroes. You can get this set for $30, and it should ship in October.

“Kick-Ass”, the action-adventure movie from Lionsgate and Matthew Vaughn, is a twisted high-octane adventure that redefines the “super hero” genre, based on the popular comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.

Kick-Ass, a.k.a. Dave Lizewski is an average teenager and avid comic-book fan, who decides to become a real-life superhero, Kick-Ass! With no actual super powers, his life is forever changed as he encounters the violent, real-crime world of common thugs, drug lords and underworld mobsters.

Kick-Ass 1/12 scale 6” action figure that captures the essence of “Kick-Ass” armed with two billy-clubs, and wearing signature suit and mask.

Hit-Girl, a.k.a. Mindy Mc Cready is an 11 year-old pig-tailing wearing waif with the fighting skills of a ninja. This little super hero proves she has some real kick- ass skills.

The 1/12 Scale action figure features Hit-Girl in her signature plaid skirt, purple wig and cape. Armed with a pair of butterfly knives, and her double Gitano bladed mindy stick.

Set of 2 includes 1 Kick-Ass/ 1 Hit-Girl.

Ships October 2010.

NECA Terminator 2 Series 3 T-1000 and T-800 Press Pics

The 2-ups of the Terminator 2 Series 3 figures at Toy Fair looked amazing. I missed on some of the earlier figures and will definitely want to pick these up.

Have You Seen These Figures?

New Cult Classics Series Features First-Ever T-1000!

Of all the cops in the world, he’s probably the one you want to run into at the mall the least. So imagine how it must have been for young John Connor when the liquid mercury-based T-1000 started chasing him down in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Good thing he had Schwarzenegger on his side.

Our new Cult Classics: Terminator 2 series 3 boasts four figures total: two of Arnold in perhaps his most classic role as the protector T-800 and two of the villainous and more advanced T-1000 (played in the movie by Robert Patrick). Here’s the rundown by the numbers:

T-800 Battle Across Time

This brand new version of the T-800 comes courtesy of the popular T2-3D movie attraction at Universal Studios theme parks. This figure is fully poseable and comes with a shotgun and plasma rifle. Articulation includes ball-jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and swivel waist.

T-800 Steel Mill

It’s the last scene of the movie and everyone’s a little worse for the wear. This T-800 has been back and forth fighting the T-1000 all day, and by the time they get to the Steel Mill, it shows. Gonna need some more skin there, buddy. Figure comes with a pistol and grenade launcher, and articulation including a ball-jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and swivel waist.

T-1000 Galleria

Have we mentioned this is the first time the T-1000 has appeared in a series? Well, here he is as he first appears in his police uniform pursuing John Connor in the shopping mall. He boasts a whopping five interchangeable hands and a pistol. Also the heads, hands, and forearms can be interchanged between this figure and the battle damaged Pescadero version to create your own unique T-1000.

T-1000 Pescadero

This battle damaged T-1000 shows the damage he endures when he first meets up with the T-800 in the Pescadero Hospital. The highly detailed figure features bullet wounds, hook arms, and two different heads, an exploded head after taking a shotgun blast, and a split head as he forms back together. Also the heads, hands, and forearms can be interchanged between this figure and the less blown-to-bits Galleria T-1000 to create your own unique version.

Cult Classics: Terminator 2 series 3 is available for preorders now. They’ll be hitting shelves in May and of course will be featured on our Amazon storefront.
