Marvel Select Barbarian Hulk and Storm Press Pics

Diamond Select Toys is tempting me with their pics of the upcoming Barbarian Hulk and Storm figures.

I’m not sure where Barbarian Hulk is from in the comics, but the combination of those two words could produce some pretty kick ass stories. I’ve resigned myself that DST will be forever hamstrung by the articulation limits, so I don’t count that against this Hulk – but I do think his head might have turned out a bit too small in production.

Sideshow Toys Teases Life-Size Darth Vader Figure

Could this be the Dark Side at work? Disney acquires LucasArts, and then Sideshow teases a life-sized Darth Vader that you could put in your toy room to crush all the rebel scum you have on your shelves.

The only thing that could make this better were if you could use it as a costume for next year’s Halloween. No price yet, but you better start saving up your Galactic Credits!

Darth Vader Life-Size Figure

Sideshow Collectibles’ Darth Vader Life-Size Figure was unveiled earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con! For those that weren’t able to attend, we’re giving you a peek at this Sith lord today! This Star Wars must-have will be available for Pre-Order in the near future, so keep an eye on our site and through our weekly newsletter!

Why Didn’t I Think of This? – Diamond Select Toys Marvel Minimates Fastball Special

This awesome picture is from Diamond Select Toys’ Facebook page, showing Wolverine and Colossus from Marvel Minimates Series 47 (47?! crazy, right?) executing their signature Fastball Special. I’m jealous that I never thought of taking a picture like this before.

There’s a ton more pics of the Outback X-Men and Brood series here: Marvel Minimates Series 47. Enjoy!

I Wish I Had Hasbro KRE-O G.I. JOE Toys When I Was a Kid

Despite a brief love affair with Star Wars LEGOs over a decade ago, construction toys aren’t in my current line-up of stuff I collect as an adult. I was sorely tempted when Hasbro announced their KRE-O building sets for its G.I. JOE brand.

You see, when I was a kid, one of my first action figures was a 12-inch JOE, and that translated into a love of the 3.75-inch figures when I was a little older. Back in the day I also had a lot of love for LEGO, but that was long before they had branched into licensed properties.

So, the combination of G.I. JOE and KRE-Os hits on a few strong nostalgic notes for me. That they included a throwback to the original fuzzy-haired 12-inch figure as one of their single-packed figures isn’t helping me resist them.

Keep on the lookout for G.I. JOE KRE-O sets and figures starting February next year at Toys R Us. Yo JOE!
