SDCC 2015 (and WebSwipe): DC Collectibles Announces Two Exclusives – USAToday.com

BlueLine Edition Batman and Krypto Plush will be available at SDCC

DC Collectibles announced two exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con via USA Today. For action figure fans, Jim Lee debuted a “BlueLine Edition” Batman, which he designed with a unique pencil deco. There will be two versions of the figure. The standard version ($40) will come with a Jim Lee Batman print on blueline paper. The limited version will be a run of 150 pieces and will feature a signed unique sketch from Lee. There’ll be fifty each of Batman, Harley Quinn, and the Joker – those will run you $300 each at the show and will likely go Bat-sh*t crazy in the after-market.

The second exclusive is a much more budget-friendly plush Krypto, for $9.99. Krypto is part of the 6-inch DC Super Pets plush line, which also includes Dex-Starr, Hoppy, and Streaky. I’m disappointed there’s no Ace the Bat-Hound yet.

SDCC 2015: Mattel Announces More Exclusives and New Pre-Order Voucher Dates

Adds Ever After High, Monster High, and DC / Thomas & Friends mashup exclusives

Mattel has announced three more Mattycollector exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con. While they’re not particularly appealing to me, the Monster High dolls have proven to be highly sought after, so the villain 2-pack and the Raven Queen from Ever After High should sell out quickly. The DC and Thomas and Friends mashup minis brings together two Mattel licenses that may appeal to a younger Con-goer. With the exception of the Con-exclusive Batman / Diesel, it looks like the rest are also headed to retail stores in the future.

With the latest announcements, Mattel also announced a date change for pre-order vouchers:

Bandai Reveals S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulkbuster Iron Man

The last time we saw the Avengers: Age of Ultron line from S.H. Figuarts, Bandai was showing off the Iron Man Mark 45, and the Hulkbuster Iron Man was still being teased. Now, as the Hulkbuster nears the start of its pre-orders in Japan a week from today, we’re glad to final see it and learn more about its features.

The Hulkbuster Mark 44 will clock in at nearly 10 inches tall. While it’s 1/12 scaled, some may find it a bit small if you’re looking to add it to a Marvel Legends collection. The Hulkbuster will also include some diecast parts, and have LED light-up features. And it looks to have some serious articulation. Some Figuarts figures include interchangeable hands – this one might have jointed figures allowing everything from fists to a repulsor blast poses.

This won’t be cheap though. The pre-order price in Japan is about $285. We’ll keep a watch out for pre-orders for the States.

Coming Soon from Funko – Ant-Man Pop! Vinyls

Funko is getting ready for the tiny hero’s big screen debut this summer… revealing their Ant-Man Pop! Vinyl figures. Scott Lang gets Pop!-ified and looks super cool in one very detailed Ant-Man suit designed by Hank Pym.

Also in the photo released from Funko, their Ant-Man “Secret Character” Pop! – Scott Lang’s nemesis, Yellowjacket! Both will be available in June (you can pre-order the Ant-Man Pop! vinyls at Entertainment Earth) so there’s something to look forward to if you can’t wait till the Ant-Man movie comes out July 19.
