SDCC 2015: Bandai Reveals S.H. Figuarts Goku (Frieza Saga) Exclusive

Bandai’s Tamashii Nations has revealed one of its exclusives available from Bluefin for San Diego Comic-Con – a new S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z Goku variant, from the Frieza Saga.

This variant includes a new interchangeable face (upping the total to five), his belt tied at the front, and new “Go” symbol applied to the front and back of his gi. Some critics have been bemoaning that this new exclusive is identical to the Mexico exclusive S.H. Figuarts Goku that’s been going for crazy amounts on eBay, save for the packaging.

Bandai will have one more exclusive to reveal for SDCC. We’ll keep you updated.

Bandai Reveals S.H. Figuarts Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulkbuster Iron Man

The last time we saw the Avengers: Age of Ultron line from S.H. Figuarts, Bandai was showing off the Iron Man Mark 45, and the Hulkbuster Iron Man was still being teased. Now, as the Hulkbuster nears the start of its pre-orders in Japan a week from today, we’re glad to final see it and learn more about its features.

The Hulkbuster Mark 44 will clock in at nearly 10 inches tall. While it’s 1/12 scaled, some may find it a bit small if you’re looking to add it to a Marvel Legends collection. The Hulkbuster will also include some diecast parts, and have LED light-up features. And it looks to have some serious articulation. Some Figuarts figures include interchangeable hands – this one might have jointed figures allowing everything from fists to a repulsor blast poses.

This won’t be cheap though. The pre-order price in Japan is about $285. We’ll keep a watch out for pre-orders for the States.

Bandai Levels Up with Fire Mario and Bad Guys Set

S.H. Figuarts Super Mario line adds Fire Mario variant, Koopa Troopa, Bullet Bill, and more

Bandai Tamashii Nations is continuing to add to their S.H. Figuarts Super Mario line, which currently has the titular character, his brother Luigi, and three diorama play sets. Coming later this year are a new Fire Mario variant, as he appears when powered up by the Fire Flower, and a diorama play set that could have been entitled “Bring on the Bad Guys.”

Star Wars Celebration 2015: High End Collectibles Panel

Bandai, Gentle Giant, Kotobukiya, and Sideshow Collectibles show off their Star Wars lines

The official Star Wars YouTube channel is livestreaming from the Star Wars Celebration. So while we weren’t able to make it down to Anaheim, we still got a pretty good look at the high end collectibles being offered by four of the top Star Wars licensees. Webswipe: Avengers: Age of Ultron Gets S.H. Figuarts Treatment – to ho at Flickr

Bandai reveals the Iron Man Mark 45 armor and teases an upcoming Hulkbuster

Thanks to Japanese photo blogger to ho (blog at seesaa.net | Flickr) we’ve got a really nice look at the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron figures due from Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts line. to ho took a whole bunch of pictures at the Akiba Showroom, Bandai’s official showroom for Tamashii Nations. Knowing how much fun I have looking at Bandai’s stuff with the limited display space they have at shows like San Diego Comic-Con, I can only imagine how awesome it is to see a whole showroom filled with their stuff.

Bandai had previously revealed four Avengers: AOU figures:

Iron Man Mark 43 (due out in April)
Captain America and Hulk (due out in July)
Thor (due out in September)

However, to ho also shot pics of a previously unannounced figure – the Iron Man Mark 45, who was standing alongside the rest of the Avengers figures.
