New Stretch Goal Announced and Unlocked for Four Horsemen Mythic Legions Kickstarter

Mythic Legions Azhar, Zazhar, and Sir Valgard

With under a week left and the original funding target and stretch goals surpassed, the Four Horsemen’s Mythic Legions Kickstarter project has picked up momentum – and is now moving faster than they can supply updates. After revealing Azhar and Zazhar, the demonic pair of figures that had been unlocked sight unseen, the Four Horsemen posted a new stretch goal for the Kickstarter-exclusive Sir Valgard and a weapons accessory pack… which was promptly unlocked.

But there’s more to come. The Four Horsemen have revealed artwork for a Mythic Legions comic book, and teased another stretch goal that will include a second weapons pack and perhaps more characters. I’m hoping we’ll see an orc army-builder. Stay tuned!

Kickstarter Monday: Four Horsemen Mythic Legions Kickstarter Fully Funded and Hits All Stretch Goals

Four Horsemen Mythic Legions - Vitus, Asterionn, and Malleus

Doubling up on stretch goals and lowering their funding targets has worked – over the weekend the Four Horsemen’s Mythic Legions Kickstarter project hit the minimum threshold for funding the production of the line, and then it proceeded to hit the targets for the remaining stretch goals. That means all of the champions and army builders that were originally announced, plus the additions of the Bog Goblin and Malleus (another skeleton champ) will get made.

The Four Horsemen, who were on the west coast this weekend for the Long Beach Comic Expo, have still to reveal Azhar and Zazhar, the two figures who were unlocked when the last stretch goal was hit. I’m hoping that with 9 days left in the campaign, they have a few more figures in mind that they can add as another stretch goal, to keep the momentum going.

Four Horsemen Unlock Orcs, Stands, and Weapons Packs for Mythic Legions Kickstarter

Mythic Legions post-Toy Fair update

Forget stretch goals – after hearing the outcry for MOAR ORCS at Toy Fair, the Four Horsemen decided to unlock two of the stretch goal figures in advance of hitting the stretch goal thresholds for them. Urzokk and the previously unrevealed Bog Goblin are now available as add-ons. Not only that, but they’ve also added figure stands and weapons packs to the mix. Time to go visit the Mythic Legions Kickstarter page to click that blue “Manage” button and up your pledge!

And actually, *don’t* forget the stretch goals. To speed up unlocking the remaining figures, the Four Horsemen have doubled them up at each stretch goal threshold. So at $150K, we’ll get Attlus and Urkku (the remaining and most kick-ass of the Orcs), at $160K it’s Vitus and Asterionn, and at $170K it’s Azhar and Zazhar. We’ve yet to see the last four figures (they’re all still shown with generic silhouettes) but I’m betting we’ll want them, too.

Toy Fair 2015 (and Kickstarter Monday!): Four Horsemen Mystic Legions (including Fly-By Video)

Toy Fair 2015 Four Horsemen Mythic Legions (1 of 12)

The Four Horsemen have a booth at Toy Fair for the first time this year, and with the bulk of the show behind them they were admittedly a little weary. But mention of the Mythic Legions Kickstarter campaign quickly got them animated again.

As we approach the end of the first week of the campaign, they are approaching 2/3rds of their funding target. To put this in perspective, funding for Mythic Legions passed the threshold for their first Kickstarter, for the Gothitropolis Ravens, in the first three days, but the target for this campaign is much higher – $140K versus $65K. They’re pleased with the progress thus far.
