TNA Deluxe Impact S1 Sting 024.jpg

A few weeks ago, we ran this CFP of Spider-Man and Venom. As it was Talyn’s pic, he selected the winner, William McKean, for his caption: “..Dude! …Psssst*….Spidey… it’s me Venom, doesn’t it suck that we’re the only two decent figures in our line….” Congrats, William!

We won’t do this every single time, but for this CFP, I’m giving away two loose Mattel WWE figures from my Free Stuff pile. First, Batista, from WWE Basic Series 1. And second, the Ministry Undertaker from San Diego Comic-Con this year.

Please note: both figures are loose, and Undertaker’s left hip joint snapped when freeing his thigh swivel.

I was able to reassemble the joint (no glue), but it will come apart again if you do not handle the figure with care. Don’t worry, though, Undertaker stands with no issues and can be posed if you handle with care. And should the joint fall apart again, it’ll be easy to snap back together.

Hey, what do you want – it’s free! So get cracking on those captions, and good luck!

Masters of the Universe Classics Buzz-Off and Battle Armor Skeletor Pics

Mattel has updated their Facebook page with in package pics of Buzz-Off , some WIP shots of Battle Armor Skeletor, and some updates on Grizzlor and the Palace Guards. Who can figure out the hint for the April figure? If you’ve got a guess, leave a reply!

Hey gang,

A few new MOTUC updates for you.

  1. We just got in early samples of Buzz-Off in package. Note that we will see if there is time to turn his helmet around in package. Still pending.
  2. Got some new images of Battle Armor Skeletor as well with the chest plates and axe. Still not 100% final, but getting closer. Check out those purple feet just like fans demanded!
  3. Grizzlor’s head is removable. Earlier we had thought it would not be. Looks like I spoke to soon!
  4. The Palace Guards are slipping out a bit due to some logistics (yes we know how you feel about this word…). Look for them now at the start of 2011. Note they are not part of the 2011 subscription even if they slip out to early 2011 avail.

A lot more MOTUC greatness is coming in 2011. We should have the April figure to reveal soon. The sculpt just came in and looks fantastic. Once it is painted we’ll reveal this next figure to the fans. Here is a hint, he is a member of the Masters….

That’s it for now, see you in the toy aisles or on Mattycollector.com!

WWE Legends Series 2 In Stock at ToysRUs.com

As I was checking out the BOGOHO deal on the Marvel Legends Skrull and Kree 2-packs at ToysRUs.com, I came across something that I haven’t yet seen in stores – Mattel WWE Legends Series 2. Ok, that’s not exactly true. I’ve seen Jake the Snake Roberts and Kamala the Ugandan Giant, but the Mattel figures had been removed and been replaced with WWE figures from JAKKS Pacific. Sigh.

This wave includes: Jake the Snake Roberts, Kamala the Ugandan Giant, the Iron Shiek, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Ravishing Rick Rude, and Terry Funk.

I’m late to work after placing my order, so here’s a quick link to all the WWE Legends Series 2 figures at ToysRUs.com, who were all in stock last I checked for $14.99 each.

Happy shopping!

Masters of the Universe Classics Chief Carnivus

Chief Carnivus 01 (1200x675).jpg

I have come to dread the months that Sandman doesn’t pick up the Masters of the Universe Classics figure(s), because it comes to me take the pictures for AFP. And honestly, with MatthewK producing awesome shots each month, including yet another new custom diorama for Chief Carnivus, I’m at quite a loss for what to do that he hasn’t covered. But I’ll give it a shot.

Is DC Universe Classics Wave 17 the “Rainbow Lantern” Wave?

Online retailers have just put up their pre-order pages for DC Universe Classics wave 17 – see the order pages for AFP sponsors Big Bad Toy Store and Enchanted Toy Chest, for example – and while they are staying mum, possibly until mid-January, the speculation on the internet about the line-up is running rampant.
