Mezco Reveals San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Deluxe Breaking Bad Walter White

Mezco previously revealed a Living Dead Dolls exclusive for SDCC, but this is more my speed – Walter White from Breaking Bad in his hazmat suit. My brother-in-law is a huge fan of the show – I’ll have to pick one up for him.

ThreeA Toys Reveals San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive 1/6 Medic Zomb

3A Legionnaires attending San Diego Comic-Con won’t be too happy about not being able to reserve the first of 3A’s exclusives for SDCC 2013 – the 1/6 scale Medic Zomb. I expect that “LIVE F5” (named for the practice of refreshing the browser on Bambalandstore trying to pick up exclusive drops) will cause a stir on the showroom floor.

I remember the line wrapping around the booth each day a couple years back. On one of the days the line obscured a George RR Martin signing – this was before his popularity surged even higher with the Game of Thrones series on HBO. It was frustrating then, so I hope 3A will figure out how to ease the pain this time around.

3A Toys SDCC 2013 Medic ZombAshley Wood about our presence at SDCC and presenting one of the exclusive figures:

“Figured we would start the 6 week countdown to SDCC, SD13 to us at 3A! One of the exclusive toys that will only be offered only at SD13 is the 1/6th Medic Zomb. This year is different, there will be no pre-orders or reserving, hence the LIVE F5 tag. Each day will have an allotment, im sure someone at the 3A booth on the day will be able to tell you when they will available etc. We will do out best to slap flippers and deny purchasers who should know better!

The thing we look most forward to is seeing you guys, chatting and having a laugh, the toys are cool, but the chance to hang out is tops!

and before you ask, yup, he comes with new gun holding hands!”

DC Collectibles Reveals San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives – USAToday.com

Black Hand, Dex-Starr, Arkillo and Sinestro - Green Lantern 4-pack

DC Collectibles revealed four exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con via USA Today. They found the Superman in the Aardman style ($24.95) most interesting, but the four-pack of Green Lantern characters in the 3.75-inch scale ($49.95) is what caught my eye. It’s got Sinestro in his Green Lantern costume, Arkillo from the Sinestro Corps, Black Hand, and the feline fiend from the Red Lantern Corps – Dex-Starr.

Also of note, Hugo Strange from Batman: Arkham City ($29.95) – the only other Hugo Strange I know of was back when DCC was still DC Direct, but that was just his head on a Batman figure. This will be the first time I’ve seen him in action figure form in something resembling his normal lab coat / doctor’s get-up. Rounding out the exclusives is a 3-pack of Supergirl, Batgirl, and Wonder Girl in animated style ($49.95)

Hasbro Shares Official Pics and Description for Star Wars Black Series San Diego Comic-Con Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite

Hasbro Star Wars Black Series SDCC Exclusive Boba Fett

Hasbro has released their official pictures and description for what should be one of their more popular exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con. On top of the packaged shots of the Star Wars Black Series Boba Fett that were revealed through USA Today, they’ve included pictures of the Boba Fett figure and his bounty, Han Solo frozen in carbonite. The new pics give us a closer look at the articulation setup on Boba. Of particular note, it looks like he’s got wrist hinges – allowing more natural two-handed poses with his Blas Tech EE-3 rifle.

I’ve had a chance to do more thinking about the $44.99 price, which seems a bit steep. At more than double the $19.99 price point that’s expected at retail for single figures in the Star Wars Black Series, it might be tempting to wait for his eventual re-release in the line. I’m fairly certain they will do this, most likely with the Return of the Jedi deco – there’s a precedent with the Marvel Legends Thor that launched the Return of Marvel Legends line.
