Hate to stick another thorn in Ron’s jealous hide but a week of daily visits to Target here in Gainesville, FL has paid off this morning! I passed on the metallic Superman redux as I had already gotten the Brimstone part that came with him from fellow NE FL Fwoosher Superdoug and I just don’t need another Superman…
The quality of the figures in this wave is much higher than the previous. The plastic seems to be much stronger and the paint apps on the figures I bought are very clean and sharp. Not so good though is that the shoulder swivels on all but Brimstone are incredibly tight and kinda hard to adjust. One other spot of bother is that Black Lightning’s left hip is stuck. I’ll have to crack his crotch to fix it as the good old freezer trick didn’t work on it.
Batman – Blue Deco
Even though I don’t want another Superman, I’m a sucker for a Batman. Even one with a big, cartoony chin. I’m really digging the colors though.
If you are like me and don’t dig the head, he’s a good candidate for doing a swap with a DCD Batman.
Black Lightning
Super sharp paint apps! BL’s costume looks immaculate. The cartoony head just doesn’t thrill me, but that is a personal preference and not really a fair crit as the sculpt is a good representation of how he looked in the movie. As I mentioned above, his left hip swivel is stuck. Too bad this problem still crops up every once in a while.
Major Force
It’s Major Force! Not much more I can say. The paint is great and it looks like the character did in the movie.
BRIMSTONE!
For me in particular, this series/line was all about Brimstone. I saw him at SDCC last summer and he was my main want from Public Enemies. And now he’s complete!

i really like that blue and gray Batman and now i feel like i have some kind of reason to get him to now cuz to me he kinda looks like the Jim Lee version of Batman, so that’s cool to me.
anyways i also just got the Major Force and Black Lightning figures and i was just wondering how to get the leg to move back and forth cuz my Major Forces’ leg is not moving and it feels like if i try to move it it might just rip right off. any suggestions?
