Hot Toys Announces Licenses for the Expendables, TRON, Resident Evil and More

All of these should be great, but the Expendables seems like it’s right in Hot Toys’ wheelhouse. I also wonder if we’ll see some innovation with the TRON license, since electronics seems a natural fit.

I hope both these movies kick some ass!

WWRp Nom de Plume Stop Motion Video at Beijing Gathering

Seeing Talyn’s Most Wanted list for San Diego Comic-Con reminded me that I hadn’t checked the quite useful news thread that Gimbat compiles daily at the 3A Toys forum in a while. It was there that I found the link to this short but sweet video of the WWRp Nom de Plume, at the 3A Toys Beijing Gathering from a few weeks ago.

WWRp de Plume at 3A Gathering in Beijing from Nael on Vimeo.

Coincidentally, I’ve got a guest review of the WWRp Nom de Plume that’s in the works – I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post it before the craziness of San Diego Comic-Con starts, but stay tuned!

Iron Man Armors and Avatar AMP Suit To Be Displayed at San Diego Comic-Con

When Talyn saw the Propworx Iron Man Movie Prop Auction at C2E2 a couple months back, I was hoping to see some Iron Man armors at San Diego Comic-Con. And look at that! Profiles in History will have some of the actual suits worn by Robert Downey, Jr. and Jeff Bridges in Iron Man, as well as the big AMP suit worn by Stephen Lang in James Cameron’s Avatar.

In addition, they’ll be hosting a tribute to Stan Winston. Cool stuff!

Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Marvel Universe Galactus – Marvel.com Video

Agent_M over at Marvel blogged about opening up his advanced preview of the Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Marvel Universe Galactus. It really does dwarf the Build-a-Figure version from way back during Toy Biz’s Marvel Legends run.

I’m glad to see that the electronics are still part of this package. It’s too bad they couldn’t find a way to get the Silver Surfer included, though. Nevertheless, this is an awesome exclusive for SDCC!

Don’t forget to get your chance at a bunch of the Hasbro Comic-Con exclusives (and more) during our Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Pre-Show Giveaway. Day 1 here at AFP featured the Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs figure and the Super Hero Squad 3-pack. Today, for day 2, Fwoosh has two exclusive Star Wars Comic 2-Packs, one from SDCC and the other from Star Wars Celebration V.
