Playmates Toys has announced that Toys R Us will be the exclusive home to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection. If you haven’t seen the 4-inch Turtles and vehicles manufactured from the original molds making their way to TRU shelves near you, you will soon. In addition, Rocksteady and Bebop from the 6-inch TMNT Classic Collection should be arriving within the next month, at TRU and specialty retailers.

At SDCC, Playmates confirmed they’ll be adding movie Turtles from the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the 6-inch line. That’s extremely cool, but I’m still waiting for Shredder and the Foot Ninjas.

Play Imaginative Reveals the Super Alloy New 52 Justice League Green Lantern

Play Imaginative Super Alloy DC New 52 Green Lantern 1

I think I’m more excited about the Play Imaginative Super Alloy Green Lantern than I am about any of the other DC New 52 Justice League figures they have in the works. Sure, I’m a Hal Jordan fan, but I also think that he’s the best realized of the DC figures they’ve got in the works so far. It doesn’t hurt that the New 52 version of GL’s costume is not that far off from what I grew up with.

The figure has LED lights for his eyes and chest, as well as the ring on the fist version of the five pairs of hands. You can switch on and off the LEDs with the included remote control. And wow, the figure is also loaded up with armor constructs, and also comes with GL’s power battery. The exclusive edition shown here also comes with a battle damaged head (also with LED lights for the eyes) and battle damaged construct armor. I’m channeling Larfleeze, cause I *want*!

Frank Kozik’s Marvel Mini Labbits Hopping onto Kidrobot on September 12th

MRVL_MINI_LABBIT_BLOG_POST MarvelLabbitMiniFigs

While we’re on the subject of designer urban vinyl toys, here’s an update on the Marvel Mini Labbits from artist Frank Kozik that are being produced by Kidrobot. They are being released on September 12th, and will feature an assortment of ten characters in blind boxed packaging, for $9.99 each. I don’t know if Kozik is a big Marvel fan, but his picks for characters are unique enough (read: not just the top 10 Marvel characters) to make me think he is. In addition to miniaturizing Venom and Wolverine, Kozik has included the Red Skull, Loki, Ghost Rider, Doctor Octopus, Doctor Doom, the Punisher, Deadpool, and Galactus in this assortment. Gotta love the villains and anti-heroes!

In addition Kozik will be touring the Kidrobot stores to promote the Kidrobot / Marvel collaboration. If you can’t make it to one of their retail locations, you can still get the Marvel Mini Labbits at Kidrobot – at least after September 12th.

Play Imaginative Shares Iron Man Super Alloy Preview from STGCC

While we’re talking about the Super Alloy Iron Man figures, Play Imaginative has shared a preview of some of their figures that will be on display this weekend at the Singapore Toy, Games, and Comic Convention. In addition to the quarter scale Mark II War Machine, they’ll also have the quarter scale sub-orbital Mark 39 Gemini, which they’re calling the Starboost. It’s an interesting choice, because Hot Toys has shown their 1/6 scale Gemini but not yet made it available for pre-order.

Then there’s the 1/12 scale Hammer Drones from Iron Man 2, which are being shown for the first time at the show.
