Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Wave 2 Pre-Orders Are Up at Amazon.com

I had previously written that Star Wars Black Series wave 2 is up for pre-order at Entertainment Earth and BBTS. You can order cases there, which will come with one of each figure in the wave. Our pal Rodney wrote in with the heads up that Star Wars Black Series wave 2 is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com – on Amazon, you can order the figures individually. That’s useful if you already have a Boba Fett from San Diego Comic-Con, for example, or are only interested in specific figures from the wave.

They have an ETA of November 25th and are listed at $22.99. Wave 1 was first listed for that price, but eventually was lowered to $19.99. With Amazon’s pre-order price guarantee, there’s no risk to putting in your order now, because they will honor the lowest pre-order price automatically.

Chapter 1: The Lost Gohlem

The landscape was silent. It was just before dawn, and very still in this brief moment between night and day. Suddenly there was a ripple in the air, a deafening crack, and then a blinding explosion of light and fury. When the dust settled there was a crater, jagged on the edges like the broken shell of an egg. At the center of the crater a hunched figure stirred and slowly rose. It was a Gohlem of Monkaa. However, this Gohlem was different. Tall and perfectly formed, he pulsed with the glow of raw power. This newly awakened Gohlem surveyed the land and skies around him, quickly discovering he was alone and that he had no idea where he was.

Nor did he have any idea who he was.

Check Out the Tomb Raider Minimates Gallery from Diamond Select Toys

This is just a small sampling of the great pics of the upcoming Tomb Raider Minimates that DST posted on Facebook recently. Having never really played one of the many Tomb Raider games, I have no idea who the secondary characters are, but there’s a bunch of them who look like great bad guy fodder. Zombie-looking samurai are cool!

DC Collectibles Exclusives from SDCC 2013 and More on Sale at Graphitti Designs

DC Collectibles let us know that some of its exclusives from San Diego Comic-Con are on sale now at Graphitti Designs. I checked it out and found not only the SDCC exclusives like the Green Lantern 3.75-inch 4-pack, but the Guy Gardner / Larfleeze 2-pack that was from WonderCon and C2E2, and the John Stewart / Atrocitus 2-pack from last year’s New York Comic Con.

Graphitti uses a two step approach for its exclusives at the shows. First you wait in a line, usually somewhere off the main floor, to draw a random ticket from a bag, just for a wristband. You can re-line up if you don’t get pull the right color ticket, but it generally takes a few tries and that eats up a lot of time. Once you have a wristband, you can go wait in line at the Graphitti booth – but there’s usually a line of people just buying regular stuff like their t-shirts. It’s nice to know there’s usually exclusives left-over that you can get online, because even with shipping it’s a lot better than wasting time in line during the shows.

Supeman Man of Steel Movie Masters Variants in Stock at Amazon for $15.99

Superman Man of Steel Movie Masters Superman with Kryptonian Key Action Figure Superman Man of Steel Movie Masters General Zod with Battle Armor Action Figure Man of Steel Movie Masters Figure - Faora Superman Man of Steel Movie Masters Superman with Black Suit Action Figure

I think there must be some wisdom in Hasbro’s plan to realign the Marvel Legends brand with the various Marvel movies next year. Because while the Rocket Raccoon wave of Marvel Legends has only been available on Amazon through third party sellers (for inflated prices), lines like the Superman: Man of Steel Movie Masters keeps coming back into stock for regular prices, even some of the harder to find variants.

I still haven’t seen the Man of Steel movie yet, but somehow the news of Ben Affleck being cast as Batman (and the subsequent hilarious outrage) is making me want to see it less.
