I have a bias for super-articulated figures, so for the DC Comics brand, I tend to favor Mattel’s DC Universe Classics line over similar offerings from DC Direct / DC Collectibles. But one thing I do concede – DCD dives a lot deeper into the comics world for their character selection. San Diego Comic-Con 2011 – DC Direct Brightest Day, Flashpoint, and DCnU

DC Direct held its panel today – I was not able to attend, but Buzzy did – I’ll ask him to fill in the blanks at a later time. But they did have three action figure lines in their display area. In continuity order, they had Brightest Day, Flashpoint, and the debut of their DCnU figures.

DC Previews – DC Direct – On Sale in July through November

DC Direct has sent out their solicitations for March. Most of the items are scheduled to be available in stores in November. The most notable exception are the Flashpoint action figures, due in July – perhaps these were not solicited earlier to keep story plot points under wraps. I’m just glad to see more figures coming from DC Direct – the last two months of solicitations didn’t include any, and that led to some speculation, with the recent DC reorganization and consolidation to Los Angeles.

DC Previews – DC Direct – On Sale in June through October

DC Direct has sent out their solicitations for February. Most of the Green Lantern items are scheduled to be available in stores next June, to leverage the movie. The remaining items are mostly due in October, which would be the normal DCD delivery schedule. This is the second month in a row that there’s no DC Comics-related action figures this month.
