Right now, Woot has Mimobot Flash Drives from DC Comics on sale for 28 to 32% off list prices. They’ve got two versions of Batman, Robin, the Joker, Catwoman, Superman, and the Flash. They’ve also got other properties like Hello Kitty and South Park. On top of the flash drives, each Mimobot comes with special desktop backgrounds, avatars, and media files that are unique to each Mimobot.
I can’t see how anybody could resist a Flash flash drive. In fact, last time I checked, the 32GB version was sold out, but a 16GB Flash is still available. Sale ends tomorrow but I think these will move fast. No Flash pun intended.
Mimobot USB Flash Drives
You don’t have to be a fan of all of these characters to get some enjoyment out of your Mimobot USB devices. Just say “The Flash flash drive” enough times, and you’ll know what we’re talking about.
Just wanted to post this video for posterity – it’s an animated short celebrating Superman’s 75th anniversary, and it was created by Zack Snyder and Bruce Timm. At just over two minutes long, it manages to pack in a ton of references to important moments in Supes’ history; his appearances in pop culture, including comics, TV, and movies; and the creators behind them.
There’s so many that DC compiled 75 annotations for the 75th Anniversary Short. One Super-snub – the Superman Returns reboot starring Brandon Routh and directed by Bryan Singer is missing. Ouch!
DC Collectibles played the Spoiler Alert game with the Capullo Riddler, and he’ll be joined by 3 other figures in the first series: Batman, Talon, and Nightwing. They’re due out in April and May next year. The solicits also more New 52 super-villains with Bizarro and Deathstorm (who?), and included the Arkham City Two-Face that was teased in the week with Solomon Grundy feature – apparently he’s on his own, and not with another wave of Arkham action figures.
Finally, an action figure 2-pack for the Arrow TV series, with Oliver Queen and Deathstroke – are you guys excited about this?
DC Collectibles has been playing the Spoiler Alert game over the past week, and have revealed the upcoming Riddler figure from the first series of the DC Comics Designer Action Figures line. This one was a tough, but some folks had it guessed from the first teaser.
The first series, based on the designs of Greg Capullo from Batman, is due out in April and May next year. Since this is a guessing game, any ideas about the second series – which book and designer do you think DC Collectibles will feature next?
And here it is! After days of keeping you guessing we can finally reveal the DC Comics Designer Action Figures: Series 1: By Greg Capullo: The Riddler.
The show’s over, but I’ll have more NYCC galleries over the next couple days.
Kotobukiya is not my typical fare – no budget or space for them – but they produce some of the most beautiful statues from across pop culture domains. They’ve got licenses for movies, video games, comics, and more.
