Mattel posted new images of its upcoming February figures. Bow, who switched spots with Vikor so he could be the Valentine’s Day figure (I kid – it was because Vikor was further along in development than Bow was) will have good company with Battle Armor Skeletor and the Club Eternia exclusive Preternian He-Man.
I’m not sure what this means for the Shadow Beast – perhaps he’s being shifted out in the schedule.
Just got in some new package samples of the Febuary figures! So much great MOTUC goodness coming next year I can hardly wait!
Bow, ready to defend Etheria! Includes swapable heads and chest plate symbol as well as harp, bow and arrow.
Bow’s back!
Battle Armor Skeletor. With Axe just as fan’s asked. Check out the revised vintage face deco too!
Battle Armor Skeletor in reverse.
Preternia He-Man! Comes with riffle, Cosmic Key (that does turn 360!) and Power Sword.
At last, the long lost Powers of Grayskull storyline revealed!

PS: We’ll have images of Sy-Klone the April figure top of next week.
It’s been a while since I reviewed Hourman, so I thought I’d make it up by doing a deuce for DC Universe Classics Wave 14 Golden Age Green Lantern and Obsidian (Todd to his friends)! But first, I need to give props yet again to my good friend Xavion2004. Ya see, I’m one of the unlucky whose local Wal-Marts had DCUC dropped from their toy departments just in time for this exclusive Wave and the Holiday Shopping Frenzy. Fortunately the Wal-Marts of Jacksonville have been overflowing with DCUC 14 and Xavion2004 very kindly hooked up me, Ron and quite a few others. Thank you, my AF Collecting Bro, Santa should be putting something extra special in yer stocking this year!
One more thing before we get down to it, I’m gonna be honest with ya kids, Buzzy’s tired. Between the holidaze and working on customs, my brain is more fried than usual, so I’m just gonna hit y’all with some pretty pics of Alan and Todd and restrict the yappin’ to a few goofy captions. Enjoy!
Wrestling and video game fans, this is a pretty cool contest just for you. Design your own WWE Superstar and you could win a one-of-a-kind custom action figure of your creation, from the Mattel WWE team.
Superman & Bizarro (interchangeable head and hands)
Manhunter
Black Vulcan
Metallo
El Dorado
C&C: Apache Chief
What makes this alleged line-up interesting is that six of the characters (the ones in bold) were on the SuperFriends cartoon back in the 80’s, including the cartoon-only characters that Hanna Barbera added supposedly to give the character lineup some color. While this line-up would be a blow to those Classics fans that believe the line should be limited to characters that have appeared in the comics, Mattel already crossed that bridge when they made the Wonder Twins the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive figures in 2008 – ok, technically it was Gleek who was the exclusive. And while some will argue that Zan and Jayna did appear in the Teen Titans comic briefly, their figures were definitely based on their appearance in the cartoon.
Mattel has posted carded pics of DC Universe Classics wave 16 on their Facebook page. And even though I’ve already got an awesome custom of the Riddler from Buzzy, I think this new one is gonna be great too. Jonah Hex and Robin are also most wanted figures for me.
What do you guys think of the new packaging for 2011?
