Toy Fair 2010 – Hasbro Super Hero Squad Update

In the fourth and final installment of our Marvel update from today’s Hasbro Collector Briefing, I’ll briefly give you the highlights from this year’s Super Hero Squad offerings.  In short, the year will bring us:

  • more characters,
  • more playsets, and
  • more vehicles!

I really wish I had better pics of the individual figures themselves, but all my pics were horribly, horribly out of focus.  I will have the media kit published soon – there are plenty of pics of the SHS figures in there.

Toy Fair 2010 – Hasbro Spider-Man Update

In our third part of our Marvel update from the Hasbro Collectors Briefing from earlier today, we’ll cover the Spider-Man brand.  This will be a shorter update.

With the Spidey 4 movie losing some momentum after being converted into a reboot, Hasbro has focused a lot of its attention on Iron Man 2.  Still, we’re going to see Spidey product on the shelves, in both 3.75-inch and 6-inch scales.

Toy Fair 2010 – Hasbro Marvel Universe Update

Marvel Universe 1 (1024x766).jpg

The Hasbro Collector Briefing was earlier today, and in the second part of the Marvel update, I’ll be covering Marvel Universe.  The mantra this year is “more figures, more fun, and more exclusives” and the team wants to keep the line “collector cool with kid appeal.”  Keeping in lockstep with events in Marvel Comics, the packaging theme this year is Norman Osborne’s HAMMER Files, with packaging art by Mike Deodato.

Toy Fair 2010 – Hasbro Iron Man 2 Update

Hasbro’s Collector Briefing was earlier today, and there’s a lot of ground to cover.  I will hope to get through the Marvel properties tonight and take stock of how much is left to go.  Then I’ll see where I can fit in GI Joes, Star Wars, and Transformers.

For the Marvel properties, I’ll start with Iron Man 2.  As I’ve commented in past Marvel reviews, the Hasbro / Marvel licensing agreement was driven heavily by Hasbro’s interest in the Marvel movie properties.  And as you’ll see here, there’s plenty of product to leverage the sure-to-be-a-blockbuster-or-Jon-Favreau-is-done-in-Hollywood Iron Man sequel.

Mattel WWE Toy Fair 2010 Event with Triple H – Video and Press Release

We were excited to bring you our pictures and comments on the Mattel WWE Toy Fair 2010 Event with Triple H yesterday.  Now, here’s some video from the event, plus the official press release.

For those curious about WWE Legends, the official word from Mattel is that the suggested retail price for those figures is $14.99.  I’m really looking forward to that line.
