It’s No Laughing Matter – Win the Arkham Asylum Joker from Sideshow

The Clown Prince of Crime kicks off a new Premium Format Figure line from Sideshow Collectibles

If you’re a fan of the Batman: Arkham Asylum series of video games, Sideshow is holding a giveaway you’d be crazy to pass up. They are launching a new line of Premium Format Figures for the game, and the Joker is the first of them to be revealed. Standing at over 2 feet tall, his appearance is styled after the designs of the game – before he self-medicated with the Titan drug, of course.

It looks like Batman will be the next figure in the line, and if it’s a hit, then I hope we’ll see Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. And I think it’d be overkill to see Premium Format Figures of Bane, Killer Croc, and a Titan Joker – they’d be ginormous!

You can enter the Arkham Asylum Joker giveaway at Sideshow – it will be $449.99 when it goes up for pre-order tomorrow. If you’ve got the toy budget for it, I’d suggest getting in on it early – the Sideshow exclusive version will also have a swappable laughing portrait (shown above). Good luck!

Border Patrol: Marvel Legends Daredevil, Deadpool, and Hercules

For this edition of Border Patrol, we’ve got three Marvel Legends customs. One’s from the small screen, another’s from the big screen, and the third is from our favorite source, the good old comic book.

Marvel Legends Daredevil (Netflix) by glennwebman69: Daredevil on Netflix was awesome, and I’d love to have figures from it. But this applies especially to the masked man in black look, which I liked much more than his final Daredevil costume. With the dark tone of show, I’m not surprised Hasbro passed – but I’ve seen some claims that they’ve found Daredevil Legends in an inventory system somewhere. Your guess is as good as mine. Marvel Legends Deadpool (movie) by AC Custom Figures: Seeing Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool costume has gotten me hyped up for this movie. “@#$% you, Slater!” Let’s just hope the movie doesn’t suck, like Wolverine: Origins. Ends April 19 at 7:00PM PST.
Marvel Legends Hercules by stevidcustoms: Compared to what Hasbro is putting out these days, their earlier effort for the Lion of Olympus was as cheesy as the smile on its face. This custom shows you what should have been. Ends today at 7:30PM PST.

To celebrate the release today of the new Mortal Kombat X video game, Mezco is offering 10% off on pre-orders of their newly-announced Mortal Kombat X Series 2 6-inch action figure sets. The second series of Mortal Kombat X figures includes fan-favorite (haha!) Kitana, the malevolent Quan Chi, and newcomer Kotal Kahn.

Mattycollector April Sale is all Masters of the Universe Classics

First shot at exclusive Hover Robots during Early Access

Masters of the Universe Classics is the sole focus for Mattycollector’s April sale, with Princess of Power’s Angella available for day of sales beyond those set aside for Club Eternia subscribers. She-Ravers also get another crack at Glimmer (Club Eternia, April 2014), while Eldor (Club Eternia, October 2014) is back to please the Preternia / Powers of Grayskull fans.

But Club Eternia subscribers get a rare opportunity in Early Access, when the “travelling convention” exclusive Hover Robots 3-pack will be available online for the first time. Judging from previous sales of these exclusives, like Strobo and Goat Man, expect a very quick sell-out at the start. If you miss out, you’ll get more chances throughout the rest of the year.

Kickstarter Monday: Boss Fight Studio Skeleton and Four Horsemen Ravens Variants [Updated]

These two Kickstarter campaigns are already past their funding stages, but there’s still exciting developments for this week’s Kickstarter update. Boss Fight Studio was at G.I. JOE Con this weekend, but before they left for the show they gave us a first look at one of the most highly anticipated figures of the Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. campaign. And while the Four Horsemen previously completed fulfillment of the Gothitropolis Ravens and are now ramping up for production on Mythic Legions, they have revisited the former and are making two variant birds available through Action Figure Xpress.
