G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Wolf Hound

Let us visit the Arctics in this 2-part pic review of some G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Arctic Threat Mission toys!

With the Pursuit of Cobra line, Hasbro has chosen to divide the toys into different missions which showcase different locations. I’ve seen 4 different missions so far: City Strike, Desert Battle, Jungle Assault and the one we’re taking a look at today, Arctic Threat. The Arctic Threat’s mission is, according to the packaging, as follows: ” The G.I. Joe Team breaks into a Cobra Base that’s hiding powerful new technology! ” Pretty simple right? I personally like it, it gives kids (and adults) a starting point for play. We got the Joe vehicle Wolf Hound (with White Out) for the first installment, then we get to Destro and Snow Job for the second one.

On to the Wolf Hound pic review!

Hey y’all, here’s some Quick Pics of Raven from DC Universe Classics Wave 15. I couldn’t resist picking her up at my local comic book store. It was either her or the Martian. Ladies first, so I picked her up! She is awesome! I thought I would be bothered by her cape sculpt, but I actually like it!

Toynami Naruto Shippuden 2010 SDCC Exclusive Sage Mode Naruto

I’ve been on a Hasbro streak lately with G.I. Joes and Marvel Universe, so I thought I’d shake it up a bit with a figure that I’ve had since Comic-Con. Today we’re taking a look at Toynami’s 2010 SDCC exclusive 4-inch Sage Mode Naruto! This was the first figure I bought at the Con, and as soon as I got back to my hotel room I immediately opened him up! I’m a big fan of the anime, and I’ve  been waiting for a decently articulated figure of Naruto ever since I got hooked on the show.

Marvel Universe Masterworks Galactus and Silver Surfer

DSCN8351.JPGDSCN8258_2.JPG

Brace yourselves, AFP readers! Today we’ll take a look at Hasbro’s 19-inch Marvel Universe Masterworks Galactus! Before last year’s announcement of this large-sized figure, the chances of getting large figures like these seemed slim. Toybiz created some of the tallest Build-a-Figures like the Sentinel (16 inches tall) and Apocalypse (15 inches). When Hasbro took over, they veered towards smaller BAFs like the Blob and Ronan. They did do a Fin Fang Foom (about 15 inches), spread over two Hulk-themed waves, but since then have stopped doing Marvel BAFs. They also released the Wal-Mart exclusive Marvel Universe Gigantic Battles, which included some large figures like Giant Man and the Skrull Giant, each packaged with a smaller Marvel Universe figure, the giants were around 12 inches tall, still considerably shorter than the Sentinel and Apocalypse.

It seems the Gigantic Battles were a testing ground to see if there’s interest in large figures, as we now have this 19-inch Galactus arriving at Toys R Us shelves – and available online too! Forgive my excitement – as much as I love the older Toybiz Marvel Legends BAF Galactus (he was the first of his kind) and have fond memories of assembling him, I am happy to see Hasbro make a larger, more imposing Galactus!

Ok, that’s enough gushing, onto the review!
