DC Universe Classics Green Lantern’s Light 5 Pack Quick Pics

I’ve been holding off on the DCUC Wal-Mart Exclusive Green Lantern’s Light set because I considered the $60 price tag a little high and I was only really interested in Guy Gardner and Tomar Tu (I know Mattel called him Tomar Re, but he’s Tu for me). Last Tuesday (Dec. 14th) my patience paid off when I did my daily check up on the listing for GLL on Wal-Mart’s online store and saw that the set was on sale for $44 with “Free Shipping to Home”. I figured that was a pretty good deal so I pulled the trigger. The order details said it would arrive by 12/21 but I got a nice surprise when Fed Ex delivered it on the 18th! Woot!

Marvel Legends Deadpool Comparison Pics

When Hasbro announced the winners of their Marvel Legends Fan’s Choice poll wayyyy back in August – and that’s 2009, not this year – there was a very polarized reaction. Cheering were the folks who never had the chance to pick up the original Marvel Legends Deadpool from wave 6 in the Toy Biz run. And jeering were the folks who may already have had Deadpool but were regardless upset that one of the few slots for Marvel Legends, which under Hasbro has been limited to a handful of 2-packs over the course of the past couple of years, was going to be used for a re-do.

I was lucky enough to find the highly coveted RedPool 2-pack recently and wanted to snap some pictures comparing the new figures with the original release.

Just in time for the holidays, the first wave of the hotly anticipated Green Lantern Classics line has made its way to several online retailers and is shipping to fans as we speak. With the movie mere months away, this is a great way to kick off Green Lantern mania in 2011 and Mattel has delivered a solid set of figures representing a fairly wide cross-section of the Green Lantern universe.
